Onaona

The island is an atoll, with large central island surrounded by shallow water, terminating in a reef and several low-rising islands that encircle the inner island. The main island is about 15 miles across at its longest point, and about 6 miles across on average. Mt. Otemba caps the inner island at an altitude of 2,315 ft above sea level. Most of the inner water is between 4 and 16 feet deep, with pits as low as 30 feet. The outer lagoon is no more than 3 feet deep at any point.

Onaona is home to dozens of unique species of flora and fauna. The primary megafauna are boars, which thrive in the upper central plains (just north of the Otemba ridge), and are hunted by krenshar.

While Otemba is long extinct (indeed, the crag of Otemba is nothing more than volcanic sediment, the actual cauldron deep below the surface), the particular properties of the volcano have led to some interesting adaptations among the upper flora. In particular, the fire crocus, a rare flower found on the cliffs and base of Mt. Otemba, has potent magical properties.
