Setting Information

Vi, James, and Sylvia are ordinary Harvard students, or so they'd have you believe. In reality, they are the leaders of the Veritas Vigil, a secret organization of vigilantes who seek to protect Commonwealth City from the forces of darkness that lurk in the shadows--sometimes monsters, but usually men.

You see, the world you see around you is a simulation, a hyper-reality known as The Meta. It exists--as long as everyone believes it. Reality is dirtier, more organic, more natural. Magic, monsters, and superpowers are real, but they are hidden from the public eye by the powerful corporations and politicians who control the world. The Veritas Vigil is one of the few groups who know the truth, and they use their knowledge and their powers to fight against the forces of darkness that seek to keep humanity in ignorance and servitude.
