Classes provide the following
- Primary skill points (and associated list)
- Bonus to combat statistics, including:
- Vitality
- Defense
- Saves
- Attack
- ...and possibly even:
- Initiative
- Stealth
- Perception
- Intuition
Class List
- Fighter (straight up, all-around tough guy)
- Rogue (grants +Stealth, +Initiative)
- Brute (not just for Strong guys anymore; favors heavy offense, both melee and missile, over defense)
- Specialist (the "skill class")
- Psychic

- Yes, you can actually calculate the odds of success. Useful in a world governed by d20s. You can also look at a star and say how far away it is, or look at a ship and state its distance and velocity.

There is such a thing as an advanced class. It requires skills, both primary and secondary, and possibly feats.
