Screecher

The Mon'kethri, colloquially known as Screechers, evolved from small, bipedal lizards who used their loud and obnoxious vocal abilities to fend off predators. They have gained much in size since their primordial days, but have retained their sonic attacks and colorful crests.

Much like their primitive forebears, they are reclusive and flee readily from combat. However, they are very gifted intellectually (as lizards go), and the occasional mon'kethri makes a talented spellcaster. It is said that, where humans have a handful of muscles involved in their vocal abilities, mon'kethri have over four dozen. The singing voice of a mon'kethri trained in Old Imperial is a unique experience indeed.
