Dragonheart

A Prime Skill, representing the innate racial powers of a Dragon. Required for all dragons.

Attributes

Rage: a rarely-invoked, powerful, costly energy source.
Curiousity: applies mainly to the young (read: PCs). When not satisfied, threatens to derail attention and force you to examine interesting things.

Energy Sources

All dragons have innate power, over and above their physical characteristics.

(Dragons will get Mana, Qi, etc, depending on subrace.)

Skill Uses

For each rank of the skill, you may also take one of the following boons:
- +1 to any ability score
- +1 innate DR (stacks with armor and spells)
- +5 resist (fire) (doubles each time)
- etc
- Diminishing returns?

Note: this is probably going away if/when skill ranks do.

Breath Weapon

All dragons can breathe fire.

Breath of Fire: At-will, std, cone 5+1/skill point or line 10+2/skill point; 1d8+skill mod fire damage. Costs 1 Rage.
- Each additional point of Rage spent adds 1d8 damage.

Shifting

By default, no shifting.

Level 3: claws and fangs.
Level 5: wings for gliding, occasional enlargement.
Level 10: wings for short-duration flight, occasional full-dragon.
Level 15: wings for any flight, more reliable full-dragon.
Level 20: full-dragon at will.

High Rage values can force a draconic shift without PC control.

Feats

General

Natural Armor: Gain DR 1. Stacks with armor. This feat is stackable, but cannot exceed 3 stacks per level.

Green Dragonflight

Rank 0 (automatic)

Call: You can command fey creatures.
Waterborne: You can breathe underwater, and your swim speed equals your land speed.

Blue Dragonflight

Rank 0 (automatic)

Arcana Unearthed: You may use this skill as a basis for custom powers (spell-like, arcane), but you do not gain other benefits of a Magic power source.

Silver Dragonflight

Rank 0 (automatic)

Blood to Blood: Your own body provides a power source to artifacts in close vicinity, depending on your current Curiousity and Rage levels.

Gold Dragonflight

Rank 0 (automatic)

Five Benedictions: Five daily powers based on the Five Good Gods of draconic tradition (Ashkala is already represented pretty well by the whole fire breath thing).

Red Dragonflight

Rank 0 (automatic)

Rage of the Earth: Some sort of ability to use fire breath without spending Rage.

Purple Dragonflight (extinct?)

Rank 0 (automatic)

Mind Shield: Gain +5 to Will saves against charms, compulsions, and any hostile mental effect, including mind-reading and other non-harmful effects.
Force Resistance: Gain resist 5 (force), and 50% push resistance.
Snake Form: Once per day per skill rank, take the form of a snake.
