Scale
Scale is an enhancement that increases a creature's power beyond the effects of BP and level. Players use this mechanic only rarely (e.g. using vehicles, brief empowerments), though many of the more powerful enemies benefit from Scale.

;Definitions:
- Effective BP: no game effect, simply describes the encounter's worth as a multiple of the actual BP.
- Damage Reduction: applies to DR and non-percent Resist from all sources.
- Action Points/Hero Points: granted to non-PCs who otherwise would have none. No effect if PCs gain Scale.
- Scale bonus: bonus to all defensive rolls against death or loss-of-control. Also, bonus to all ability scores.
- Energy: bonus Mana, Focus, and Stamina.
- Bonus actions: can take extra actions each round as if spending the listed amount of AP on actions.
- Oppression: immune to death and loss-of-control effects originating from any attack less than 2 Scale points inferior.
