| Brief | Use the wind to deflect incoming projectiles and protect yourself and allies. |
At-will, reaction; you sweep your sword, producing a blast of wind that deflects incoming attacks. This can be used against a melee weapon or projectile. Roll a melee weapon attack against the triggering attack; if your result exceeds the attack roll, the attack is deflected harmlessly away.
If you have Steel Tempest you can expand this power:
- By expending 1 stack of Gathering Storm, you can use Wind Deflection to deflect multiple attacks in a single reaction (example: a volley of arrows). You can also deflect gaseous projectiles, such as a cone of fire or a breath weapon.
- By expending 2 stacks of Gathering Storm, you can use Wind Deflection to deflect a targeted magical attack.
- By expending 3 stacks of Gathering Storm, you can use Wind Deflection to create a wind barrier in a centered circle 3, which automatically deflects all targeted attacks originating outside it, lasting until the end of your next turn.
