A flaming (green) meteor falls from a portal above, crashing into the ground with tremendous force and a burst of fire. But that isn't the end; the meteor is in fact a demon made of rock and hellfire, which begins to fight the nearest targets.
At-will, std, ranged, burst 2, costs 2 soul shards; heavy bludgeoning fire damage to all targets in the area. The infernal then rolls initiative, beginning to act on its next turn.
The infernal's stats are as follows:
- HP: equal to a heavy damage roll
- AC: 10 + your Charisma bonus
- Hardness: 5 per rank
- Str and Con: your spellcasting bonus
- Wis and Cha: half that
- Int and Dex: +0
- Slam: at-will, std, melee, your casting bonus vs AC; medium bludgeoning and fire damage.
The infernal is disinclined to spare you and your allies, instead simply attacking the nearest living target. However, if you concentrate, you can mentally will it not to attack you and your allies. This works only as long as you concentrate.
It disappears when reduced to 0 HP. Otherwise, you may attempt to dismiss it as a standard action, by winning an opposed Charisma check against it.
Feats
- Infernal Specialization: Your infernal improves in the following ways:
- Hardness doubles
- Slam damage increases to heavy bludgeoning and fire damage
- It gains a fiery aura: at the start of each of its turns, all targets within 1 square suffer the effect of Immolate.
- Meteor Shower: For 2 extra soul shards, you can call down two infernals instead of one when you cast Inferno. Warning: you can only concentrate on one of them.
