- Kalak's court (former), Tyr's senate (current)
Dakhan was a high-ranking member of the Sorcerer-King Kalak's court, and played a pivotal role in the events leading up to Kalak's downfall. He was one of the first to turn against Kalak, and his betrayal was instrumental in rallying support for the rebellion that ultimately overthrew the Sorcerer-King. After Kalak's fall, Dakhan emerged as one of the most powerful political figures in Tyr, and has been openly vying for political power ever since. He is known for his cunning and ambition, and is not above using underhanded tactics to achieve his goals. Despite his ruthless nature, he has a certain charisma that has earned him a loyal following among some of Tyr's citizens.
Ancestry
Dakhan is a githyanki, descended from a group of originally Astral Plane based outsiders, who were stranded on Athas due to the plane disconnecting from the world as a result of powerful magicks used during the Cleansing Wars. Githyanki are known for their martial prowess, psionic abilities, and their fierce independence. Given their natural intellect and ruthless ambition, they have often found themselves in positions of power and influence in the city-states of Athas, and Dakhan is no exception. He has used his natural talents to climb the political ladder in Tyr, and has become one of the most influential figures in the city.
While he undoubtedly has some degree of natural psionics, Dakhan has focused his study on the Arcane, becoming a powerful wizard by studyind under Kalak. He holds his true power close to the chest, but is likely comparable to some of the more powerful former apprentices such as Abdul.
