A member of the Thunderheart Clan, Heigen Stonebrow is a towering goliath with a commanding presence. He lived a typical goliath life in the high mountains, until a party from Phoenix Dawn encountered him on an ill-fated expedition to the forbidden forests rumored to exist in his mountains. He found the guild to be curious, and interpreted their explanations of its purposes as "a school". Wishing to give his daughter Thora a broader education than what was available in their remote mountain home, he decided to join the guild as a way to provide for her future.
Larger than life in all important respects, Heigen isn't so much a guild adventurer as a force of nature. His booming voice and imposing stature make him a natural leader, and his unwavering dedication to the guild's mission inspires those around him. Despite his intimidating appearance, Heigen is known for his gentle demeanor and deep sense of compassion, often going out of his way to help those in need. He takes on adventurers mostly to keep himself from getting bored, and to make sure the other A-class members have enough support.
