Seasonal changes: in the spring and summer, her features take on a more vibrant and lively appearance, with brighter colors and a more energetic demeanor. In the fall and winter, her features become more muted and subdued, with earthier tones and a more introspective demeanor. Her eyes also change color with the seasons, reflecting the shifting energies of nature around her. In the spring, they take on a bright green hue, symbolizing growth and renewal. In the summer, they shift to a warm amber color, representing vitality and abundance. In the fall, they become a deep orange shade, embodying transformation and harvest. Finally, in the winter, her eyes turn a cool blue-gray color, signifying rest and reflection.
Eating habits: does not suffer ill effects from bacteria and toxins in decaying matter, and can even derive sustenance from it. This is a result of her unique physiology, which allows her to break down and extract nutrients from organic material that would be harmful or indigestible to most other creatures. As a result, she is often found in environments rich in decay and rot, where she can thrive on the abundant resources available. Prefers fresher food like juicy bugs.

Phoenix Dawn

Born from a cocoon in a far-off oasis, Pip spent many years quietly enjoying her lush environment, before eventually being encountered by traveling elves. Following them, she learned of the world beyond, and eventually found herself in the city of Tyr as part of the adventuring guild Phoenix Dawn.

Ancestry

Pip is an eladrin--a heretofore widely thought mythical race of sylvan-touched creatures, said to be born of the feywilds. Eladrin are known for their close connection to nature, their ethereal beauty, and their ability to manipulate the forces of life and death. They are often seen as guardians of the natural world, and are said to possess a deep understanding of the cycles of life, death, and rebirth.

Most eladrin signify some element of nature: plant life, an element, the seasons, etc. Pip is unusual; she is a manifestation of Void--the absence of all things, the darkness that lies beyond the stars, the infinite expanse of nothingness. Her creation was to some extent the result of the abuse of Defiler magic. She may be a creature born of Athas itself, in an attempt to find a new path to survival in the face of the planet's decline. Or she may be a creature born of the Void itself, a manifestation of the darkness that lies beyond the stars, drawn to Athas by the planet's own descent into decay and ruin. Whatever her origins, she is a unique and enigmatic being, with a deep connection to the forces of life and death, and a mysterious destiny that is yet to be revealed.

Her first encounter
Her first encounter

When she first emerged from her cocoon, Pip was a formless blob of darkness. She didn't think there was anything unusual about this, and just floated about her environment, curious at everything. All around her were things--things she couldn't identify, but things that stayed being things, instead of changing constantly, as everything else she'd ever known does.

When she encountered a moth, she was fascinated by its form and movement. She reached out to touch it, and as she did, she felt a connection to the creature. The moth seemed to understand her in a way that no one else had, and they quickly became friends. The moth would often accompany her on her explorations of the oasis, and they would spend hours together, flying through the air and discovering new things. The moth was a source of comfort and companionship for Pip, and she cherished their friendship deeply.

As she explored the glade, she encountered a variety of other creatures, and tried to befriend them too. Some were more fun than others, but all had terribly interesting forms to be experienced firsthand. She was particularly drawn to the fungi that grew in the oasis; with their many colors and complex shapes, they felt more akin to her than the animals and insects--not that she didn't love those too.

Meeting the Ashkari

She had way of reckoning the years she spent like this, but it all changed one day when she encountered a group of traveling Ashkari elves. They were unlike anything she'd ever seen before, and they seemed to be on a journey of their own. She decided to follow them, curious about where they were going and what they were doing. She followed them on a long journey, learning about the world beyond her oasis, and eventually came to something she couldn't have imagined: a stupendous city, a stone mountain made by creatures no larger than the elves, a place they called "Urik".

They left her behind there, in the care of a very fancy man who everyone called "King", who seemed very interested in her, but didn't listen when she said she wanted to go with her friends. He showed her his basement full of corpses--a fascinating moreau of bug, fungi, and tiny lifeforms all feasting upon the decaying bodies. He explained that he was extracting the energy and water from their bodies, to power--something or other--and thought she'd be good at that. She showed him just how good she was.

For some reason, he decided to put her in a strange tube, and didn't listen when she said she wanted to get out. He closed it, and everything went...funny, for a while.

Adventure 1

After being recruited by the Sorcerer-King of Urik to perfect his process of extracting all organic material from corpses (not to mention all of their spiritual energy for himself), she was forcibly plugged into a device and used as part of an assembly-line of death.

On a quest from Tyr, Akshay, Mina, and Zahara infiltrated the facility where she was being held, and managed to free her from her bonds. They were supposed to destroy her, but Akshay convinced them to let her go free instead. She was instrumental in helping them escape the facility, using her powers to cause a cascading explosion of corpses that sealed the Sorcerer-King's templars in the facility and denied him the mana he craved.
