Damp, faintly irritable, and largely subterranean, Brindle spends most of his existence under stones, fallen branches and decaying logs. Almost everything in the forest eventually passes over his roof, which has left him with an extraordinary amount of information about what happens at ground level and an equally extraordinary number of complaints about insufficient moisture.
