May Umbrel is absent for most of the year, and so understands Shae's seasonal existence better than almost anyone. The resemblance ends there. Shae treats coming back in spring as something that simply happens. May treats every emergence as a triumphant return from a wildly successful world tour, and her enormous umbrella of a leaf does nothing to discourage her.
