Seep

Kind
Undine
Aliases
The Creekling
Domain
Mountain streams, seeps, springs and the watershed that joins them
Role
Messenger, guide, carrier
Range
Anywhere in the watershed; nowhere out of reach of running water

Seep is an Undine, and looks like a small mountain stream that has temporarily agreed to hold a recognisable shape — translucent, never entirely still. They cannot go far from running water. Within a connected watershed, however, they turn up in places that ought to be impossible, which makes them the natural messenger of the whole cove.

Powers

Power Effect
Follow the Water Travels fast along connected streams and seeps
Waterway Knows where water goes, including where it goes underground
Carry the Word Moves messages across the watershed
Clear Current Reveals disturbance, contamination or unnatural change in water

Shae

Seep brings her word from parts of the forest she could never reach on foot. In exchange, Shae knows where the hidden springs and shaded holdouts are, and which of them will still be wet in a drought — which is the difference, for an Undine of a mountain seep, between a bad summer and no summer at all.
