Wilhelmina Petrovna is an elder witch who has led a secretive life. It is known that she was an apprentice to The Simbul for many years, and trained several apprentices of her own, including Anastasia Scrubs and Natalia Gorbovna.

To her peer apprentices, she was ever mysterious, hidden behind a mask similar to those used by the Wychlaran, and sharing little besides what was necessary for her duties to the Witch Queen.

To hear her described by her own apprentices, she was callous, unfair, snippy, temperamental, and downright wicked. In fact, she hardly taught them anything at all, save for creative and soul-crushing descriptions of themselves; if not for her familiar, Chester, Anastasia and Natalia may not have learned anything useful about magic.
