The party, sans Kaine, is recruited to help Adrian find a missing heirloom: the shard of Ar-Cel'Kerym, a blade that once symbolized the faith placed in the men of Ascal by the elves of Eaerlann. When agents, spies, and strange monsters attack, it becomes clear that there's something fishy going on; what is so important about this little shard, anyway? As they trek through the Silver Marches, they'll learn a thing or two about the Kaine family history, and perhaps a bit about the motivations of the implacable Adrian.
