A quarterstaff is made of wood, plasteel, or a metal alloy. A user can strike with either end of the quarterstaff, taking full advantage of any openings in an opponent's defenses.
A quarterstaff is a double weapon. You can attack with both ends of the weapon as a full-round action, but both attack rolls take a -10 penalty; certain feats and talents can reduce these penalties.
