Targeting Computer 1 Restricted - 500 SNV

A targeting computer is really two things: a sensor package and a display of some kind. The former takes the form of a sensor-packed node mounted coaxially along the barrel, usually near the tip, and wired to the weapon's power source. The latter is usually a scope, although it is also possible to transmit targeting information wirelessly to another device, such as goggles or an implant (sold separately).

The targeting computer analyzes all targets in the field of view immediately ahead of the weapon. It determines their current trajectory, and, taking into account range to each target, it calculates the exact vector in which the weapon must be fired to hit the target. 99% of the time, pointing at the targeting reticule and firing will result in a hit.
