Warforged
Warforged are living constructs originally created as soldiers. They have humanoid bodies made of wood, stone, and metal, with a sentient consciousness.
Ability Score Increase
- 2024: +2 to one ability score and +1 to another, or +1 to three different ability scores
- 2014: Constitution +2, and one other ability score +1
Age
Warforged are created fully formed and don't age naturally. The oldest are around 30 years old.

Key Features
Constructed Resilience
- You have advantage on saving throws against being poisoned, and you have resistance to poison damage
- You are immune to disease
- You don't need to eat, drink, or breathe
- You don't need to sleep, and magic can't put you to sleep
Sentry's Rest
When you take a long rest, you must spend at least 6 hours in an inactive, motionless state, rather than sleeping. In this state, you appear inert, but you remain conscious.
Integrated Protection
Your body has built-in defensive layers, which determine your Armor Class. You gain no benefit from wearing armor, but if you are using a shield, you apply its bonus as normal. You can alter your body to enter different defensive modes; each time you finish a long rest, choose one mode:
- Darkwood Core: AC = 11 + Dexterity modifier (add proficiency bonus if proficient with light armor)
- Composite Plating: AC = 13 + Dexterity modifier (maximum of 2) (add proficiency bonus if proficient with medium armor)
- Heavy Plating: AC = 16 (add proficiency bonus if proficient with heavy armor, disadvantage on Stealth)
