Session 8 of Strength and Honor, the 2nd episode of the 2nd season of Story of a Lifetime (Overall session #35).

Took place on September 26th, 2025. PCs were level 10.

Synopsis

Great Crag falls under surprise assault by the main Brelish forces under Duchess Whitehorn, with their siege engines just barely pulling up short of the city's gate closing. The witch's defenses are holding up, protecting the city from all angles, but Selina has an all-access pass. Inside the city, she finds the city Elders in the Circle of Honor, debating their next move. Selina implores them to fight under her banner, to unite against the common enemy. However, they do not recognize her authority, and instead want to make a bargain withe Brelish, brokered by a 3rd party: the Prophet of the Machine City, by way of his liaison, Gladius the Reforged. Gladius is accompanied by an agent of the Black Blood, so he isn't to be trusted. Frustrated by the clear corruption amongst the Elders, she declares that she will conduct the rite of Mok'gora, claiming the title of Warlord of Clan Sora Kell, and therefore able to challenge all warlords for supremacy as the Warchief of Droaam. The Elders reluctantly agree to allow her to proceed with the rite.
