Session 9 of Strength and Honor, the 2nd episode of the 2nd season of Story of a Lifetime (Overall session #36).

Synopsis

Under the honored traditions of Mok'gora, Selina has the right to challenge the current warlord of her clan for supremacy, or to claim her place if deceased or missing. Since Maenya has vanished, Selina issues the challenge; as predicted, none of her brothers and sisters challenge her--except for one, Jean-Baptiste, her most estranged and power-hungry elder brother. The battle is challenging, but her victory is witnessed by the Elders, and her assembled clan, and none can contest her title of Warlord. As the only Warlord present, she claims the right to assemble the city's defenses. But before she can do much, Gladius opens the gity gates, using his Mark of Making to command the mechanisms that power them. The Brelish forces pour in, and the battle for Great Crag begins in earnest. The PCs do battle with the spearhead force, along with Gladius and his allies, and the corrupt Elder, Trade Prince Pol Gasmelter. After a fierce fight, the spearhead is destroyed, and Tyburn manages to close the gates again with his own dragonmark. Gladius is captured, and the Black Blood agent flees. Returning to the Circle of Honor, Selina is formally recognized as Warchief of Droaam.
