Project

For now, the project is contained by a wiki. Here are my concerns:

• BDH exists on multiple levels:
  • A project, undertaken by a group
  • A world, as seen through the lens of literary artists creating it
  • A campaign setting for roleplaying games
  • A world, as seen by characters living within it

Each of these aspects demands a different form of presentation. Ideally, all could be presented at the same time. Imagine:

• All information exists in one central location: the wiki
• The wiki can be set to one of several modes, matching the aspects above
• At various points in the presentation, links to other salient points in other aspects will be provided

As an adjunct or alternate to the above:

• I would like to have a social/meta aspect to the site, wherein:
  • Users can comment on every page.
  • They can tie their comments to specific sections of the presentation.
  • Users themselves might be:
    • Content creators
    • Audience members
    • Characters in the universe
  • The discussions:
    • Are threaded to arbitrary depth
    • Can be filtered, searched, etc
  • The posts:
    • Can be styled per user
    • Can be styles per category of user

This of course demands some technological upgrades to the presentation layer, hopefully forthcoming in version 2 of Narrwiki, codename "Exodus".
