Characters

Dan and I were talking about it last night. The characters that we play are an amalgam of different characters from the people that we have met and the fiction that we have devoured. One of the best examples I can think of regarding my own characters is Kage, who is a blend of Raistlin, Dream, and Neo. Hawk

Hawk has a little bit of self-awareness of the conventions of heroism, so some of his personality is pulled from Ferris Buller and Gibson's Maverick. He's also got a blend of the attitude of Doc Emmett Brown with the more blue collar attitude of Tim Taylor.

Medine

The old Medine was an insatiable and inquisitive do-gooder in the mold of a Veronica Mars, though a whole lot more physically imposing. The new Medine is influenced heavily by Eastern philosophy (a mish-mash of Hindu and Buddhist), and has a lot to owe to Michelle Yeoh's Shu-lien (from Crouching Tiger).

Circe

Circe is very much the Homerian character of Circe, the goddess of islands, who can both trap men with her magics, but also keep them from wandering off before they are ready. Her personality is Prom queen, with a generous bit of Cordelia from Buffy. She also has a bit of the dark feminine an aura of the vampire, the all-consuming seductress.
