Visions reveal ancient caretakers, instability, and a recent blast. Descending, they enter a portal to an illusory rainforest teeming with off-kilter flora and fauna. A tower leads to encounters with Kalak's illusions: his crowning, war councils, lectures on life magic, and a twisted Eidolon construct. Confronting Zayin, the first Eidolon, they battle intensely using hammers, soul drains, and time magic. They defeat and re-imprison it, escaping the collapsing pocket dimension. Reviving Viz from imprisonment, they travel to the gleaming pyramid city of the sorcerer queen.

============================================================ SESSION TRANSCRIPT

Last session, the party awakened the psionic fungal entity by reviving a petrified tree with time magic, leading to a brief combat against a metaphysical fungal construct made of spores. Pip communicates via a rapport spore but fails to . The group repeats at the fire desiccation and aging touches psychic glass. The revived tree blooms with fruit, seed, and buds and attracts ancient wildlife. As a pregnant lemur, hummingbirds and fugs, which they space as a jewel-bug. They harvest fruit, wood, and buds, pruning branches for transport. Travel delays from haze prompt camping. They desiccate resources for pure water. At a large caravan campsite, they trade fruit, dried goods, water, bronze, and fugs, or copper gem, resin, amber, water, galatz, a herd of kanks, and a Thri-Creams 3D glass map, disk of distance Vis free slaves by buying slash killing the slaver and turns into a fungal zombie fraud. They acquire wagons, animals, and negotiate without reprisal due to water aid. Night to travel under clear skies leads to an obsidian problem with a recent subterranean entrance expel. So we did decide to actually go there. Um, the We were at the entrance at the end of the last one. You haven't gone in. There is... To review... My character did not go in. I don't think any of the player characters went in. We don't have an NPC that... You still have a fancy wagon pulled by two Dolph NicolΓ‘s, a non-fancy wagon pulled by two Crodri, the Collins party, except apparently who disappeared. Filtered by... Filtered... ...group? Party? No, not party? Well, he's not very important. You have your own way, which used to be the asshole's way. Pulled by a pair of juvenile Nicolais. They're about the weight of a horse. Much less time. You have his crudges, as well as your four borrowed. You have ten slaves, well, former slaves. Including two skilled skilled tradesmen, six ordinary laborers, one nine-year-old child, and a mole. You do not have the demons. They went somewhere else. Well, we'll have most of the people just to chill here. Maybe we'll take a snack. Is this not I mean... What day am I on of my energy cycle? So, fungus-covered tree... You are... It is day three. So you're feeling it. You're feeling it. So, well, okay, day three spawn, but you guys were stuck at the caravan search? because of Haze. I feel like then you waited the whole day and then you traveled by night. So this is 4 a.m. on day four. Okay, this is my rest day. I'm not fucking going anywhere. I'm not motivated to adventure. She's like... You've been just snacking like crazy. Yeah, she's just kind of sitting and she's watching what people are gonna do like a cat and she's like, oh, I can follow if I have to, but there's a very careful exploration at the edges. I want to go investigate the opening of the cave because that's going to be the best place probably if it's safe to shelter. There's two entrances in that one? No, I told it to do... so there's an outcropping and the other one was built on that. But if you were to go around to the back, it would be like here or something. But it would be over here. For them this doesn't exist, but this does. Okay. Okay. And it's a large opening, big enough to drive a wagon through. Not a grand wagon, but a regular wagon. And it descends with a rank, very smooth, very artificial. It's in fact a door that was the last that opened. There aren't any smells that are attracted down there. You get the strongest sense now. Okay, this is a complicated set of odors. Natural. Very, like, earthy, outdoorsy plant smells. The acrid bite of pine needle smells. Mo-meat Earth, a slight crisp... Ever been in like, up in Humboldt County in the big rainforests and it's all wet? It's a lot like that. The thing is, gun to your head, you could not say what is the name of this plant, but you do have a sense that it is timely. You might not be able to find this plant anywhere on the planet right now. What do I sense? I don't know if you're something smaller than that. No, but I can quite sense. There are some... Since there are currents bringing those odors out here, no doubt spores are carried on those currents. Distant spores, strange spores. There's something... Can I have some forward-y spores? It's not any sort of modern, complicated fungus. It's just some mushrooms just blasting their spore around. You can tell the mushrooms are happy. It's very moist in there. And there's a weird disconnect. Like... Like it's out of two. It's hard to describe, feel it, more than understand. I am aware when things are off-filter. It's just off-filter, not in the direction I'm used to. There's something unnatural about these fours, even though they themselves are perfectly harmless. There's a species of four in there that's no-whar. Songs. Songs and birds. The cry of, like, monkeys chittering. Bugs... ...is light... ...is light... ...well that's very... ...sensiting magic? I can't identify... ...any of these animals. I know every creature. This isn't the place. This isn't always this. I mean, dawn is coming. We could still probably make another film. We could make a case to be out here and then do the adventure. We have been going for eight hours straight. I think this is probably the best place to strike camp in the area. Basically everyone can get inside and you can park the big- I'm guessing that the luxury wagon actually has shutters and so we can use it to block that entrance. He can cast Arcane Lock on it and even though it's made of silk it might as well be made of silk. You use that to plug it and then the two Mechalots outward facing. Yeah. Because they alone, they're like CR9s by themselves. Not too many things would fuck with them. And everybody else can come inside and just... Before we do that, she cannot explore the fact that the break in the omelettes. Yeah, they're up there just taking a look. This is such a huge amount of Boba- of Obsidian, like... If you could transport 60,000 tons, I mean, it's not that expensive a material, but 60,000 tons of anything is valuable, especially this pristine, formerly magically charged. But more interesting to you is probably the arcane resonance. This was very powerfully charged with magic for centuries, until it wasn't. Yes, obviously, it's so focused of some kind. And it wasn't. Just under 300 years ago. Make an intelligence check. I should get you one. What's your color? Pink. That particular shade of pink. I was going to suggest it, but I was going to first... I don't want to mansplain. Antis all love pinks. I don't even know what my int is. 14 plus whatever my int is. I can pull my sheet up. Something good. Let me check the map. I think Wisdom is the one I didn't go into. She's a little scatterbrained with her brain having been torn to pieces by time. So that's an 18. You make the connection to another fact. that you recently have reason to be thinking about. The age, 299 years, 10 months, and a handful of days. That is the, that is very close to the duration that has elapsed since the initial fall of Talon. It's not immediately clear why they would be linked since you can tell this is the same type of obelisk that you've seen closer to Tyr. This is probably about as far as you think Palad could get away with extending his territory before pressing on top of the box. Can I go back and just see the moment it broke? You can roll. I just want to see if I can... Let me check the... There's some new roles here but they're not implemented yet. I'll sort of keep that. No age, you're just retrofitting. Yes. It's a bit of a doozy. It's a DC 28. With some help. I think that's a natural. That would be a natural. Should we do that focus? Preparation concept yet. I don't think I implemented it yet because we were talking about that because I was like, I really- if she would prepare for this then then be like, because this is kind of an important fact. Yeah, there's a- let me check if there's anything written in- Because it's not like a commonly known fact. Like there's no like comment was appeared at this time or on- Well, I'm gonna ask, um, sorry, what is the merchant guy's name? He's smart. Which- I learned it. The Khan, the Senate? The Khan, yes. I wanted to- The Conway. Is there some magical event that happened about 300 years ago? No. About 300 years. Why? There was a bit of a shuffle. Polygonal turned into a giant dragon. Our illustrious former, our sorcerer, King, teamed up with Boros and Saban. to prevent her from laying waste to the rest of the tablelands she did to her city. Could this obelisk have been used for channeling that kind of project? This is most likely the closest of Dakar's former fortresses, Kalre. I'm sure he could teleport here without a shot. And... Did you assist me in trying to see The events that broke the obelisk. Be fascinating. It's your magic at the earth. You'll have to talk to me. You do ritual style, you've got time. And get some more people in this spellcasting circle. The ranger's not very useful. The priestess doesn't like that. Viz might be able to. He's still in denial about being a real spellcaster. He doesn't really know spellcasting. He can use magic to buy a CD. So, Dakhan... I think he's kind of a green energy. I'll do a green mode. Ah, buddy. Bro. Bro! Ugh. You are digging up the path. That's on the artist's special interests. ABS characters. Paradise Lost, Discover Relics of the Past, and Hints to the Wants of Us, and EMPT. So, you can claim inspiration. Say, he manages just barely to hinder you by rolling a 2 instead of an 8. Well, she got an 18. Base 26 with 8 another. I got an 18. That's a plus 2. It's 28. Technically 30. And I'll let this ride because you can kind of zoom out. Because two things happened and you can't clearly see both of them. You're scrubbing real fast on the timeline. So you notice that something recently happened, like just a day ago or so. You're like, wait, what's this? I'll come back to that. 300 years. With his help, you can actually push it to like over a thousand, but nothing happened. There's a blur, this kind of low level, like there are people who occasionally come here and then leave and they're going in through that entrance. But it's just a blur of speed. 300 years ago, you're going back to that. You're trying to, you see, go back, and you have to slow down. Like, okay. You see, some people came in, they went out. Simon goes up, down, up, down, up, down, up, down, up, down, and then just... You might have to stop right on the dot as it's like in mid-explosion. going full return of the king. So just burst and falls apart from the middle. There's a blast as all stored energy in the wards just radiate outward. It ripples through the sand. This whole cleared outcropping, the base of this thing is buried in the sand. Every time they came here, the only way you could see them, because it would have been so fast otherwise, is they always had to take like hours to dig out the entranceway from all the sand, but it blasted just tons and tons of sand away. And nothing seems to have precipitated it, but it does look in the weeks leading up to it, it looks more and more unstable. And you're like, okay, let's go backward. Okay, now it's stable. And then, blip, people went in, people went out. Blip, they went in. Every month. Like clock, they show up, they go in, they spend, like, they basically camp out there and they leave the next day. Same subjects? Uh, you can slow down. It's, it's a little fuzzy since your subject is the obelisk. Yeah. But it's like a bad TV reception. They look... Khalid knees. They look like they're all bundled up against... It's like a kind of pilgrimage. Yeah, it's very... They have these rituals and rites. It's like ordering from the soup Nazi. They have to do all this stuff. And then they finally get access. Can you memorize it? It doesn't matter. All the wards are down, but might as well. And they stopped. And then like a week later it started to get unstable and then it got more unstable, it got more unstable and they never showed up. So they're doing something to contain it. And they never showed up after it. But you notice something important. When the obelisk shattered, the wards were canceled. That would prevent people from even approaching this. But the door and the other one is still intact. You even see a party of thieves. They sneak up and they're like, oh, look at this treasure. And some of them are playing with the obsidian, but most of them are interested in this door. And then one of them touches it and there's this massive high explosive wave that just turns them into paste. and everyone else within like 50 feet of the door. The door's wards stayed up for 300 more years until something fuzzy, something hazy. It's like you're trying to zoom out. The camera won't zoom out anymore. Something behind the camera blasted it with magic. There was a similar explosion as it released all that energy, but it yielded. this powerful spell. And then a day later, you got here. No one else has been in or out of this entrance. So somebody went in and has not been out? They didn't actually go in. You didn't see that they never blew down from where this happened. So they're observing? Can you find the perspective? You have a subject So you can't turn the camera around and look for some lines. No, I can see the obelisk. Essentially that's why I can see the obelisk. It's like a security camera. Only one viewpoint. I'm just going to ask you to do this, but you're kind of big. You got it right there. It's uncanny. I mean, I didn't know... Very well. They remember very, very long. Yeah, or very well. He didn't come out all that much. I tried to be friends with him. But he was already like, I have my humans. I don't need another one. Like, do you have more food to offer? No? Okay. It is a super sweet candy. He's a genesis, too. I'm so patient. I want to do animal therapy with it. I can't believe it. I can vendorize that. I can decide what I think about the thing. Then I'm also going to We can vendorize with the regional center for both. We're going to do that next week. We should sit up and leave. Like sit down for an hour. Hey, Remy, Yeah, some water would be fine. Well, Logie probably. Oh, he's not good about closing it? He's been really shitty about it for the last two or three months. Interesting. Yes. What do you guys think about clip-on microphones? Like a talk show. That's what they use on all the podcasts. It's much better Audio Capture. They have those cute little ones that are goofy. They're not fuzzy ones. Like a little bit. Alright, so that's what you learned. Okay. Virtualer. I wrote a 2, so I'm going to be counting this, but anytime soon, I better keep her. Maybe they were hoping something would come up with it. He's looking in the direction of where somebody would be if they had a vantage point. Are there any vantage points to this? If you could see over a mile, there is a ridge you could be standing on. Or if you could fly. You kind of need to be because the The ground goes down, and if you like, if you space the door and then backpedal, eventually you won't see it. You can't see it from there. So they'd have to be up in the air or be able to cast the spell from very, very far. Yep. He's got a birdface. He's turned out cuddly pretty. He loves couchs. He's missing his kid. He gets all... Okay, okay, that's too much. Too much. Too much. But also... It's not sound. Just go at the right pace. We've got a hedge. Hedge him. Okay. Are you a cat? Is there some broken door? Like is it a physical barrier? Yeah, there was a double, like a barn door. It looks like, you're guessing it's supposed to open out. You could see that in the past, but it got blasted in. One of the doors came completely off its hinge and slid down the ramp and came to rest. The other got its hinges held so the door itself shattered in two. Man, there's some rubble and dust. Looks like they were probably solid sandstone, heavily enchanted once upon a time. You can still see the grooves from the runes that were carved into them. Very powerful protection magic. You can analyze Those runes with your arcane rolling an intelligence shield. Interesting. Yeah. Interesting. But I have no idea. 20? So, like a 15 would tell you the others. These are protection. These doors aren't to be opened. They're not to be shattered. They're very, very hard to get through. There were ways. There were, there was like special ritual things you could do to disarm and open these. Obviously there must have been for the caretakers to get in. But at a 20, you notice something interesting about it. You remember that these runes were facing in. The way this magic is oriented, it does protect from people trying to violate it from the outside. It protects against, you know, powerful threats, like these are good runes. But the runes on the inside are not what you want. If they were expecting megalos or adventurers or an army with engineers and gunpowder on the outside, then they were expecting a sorcerer king, a dog, a demon lord. These runes were up to the task. We all know who made them. So the person who got to the outside wanted to let the person out. I didn't observe anything. Maybe this is only one layer of the piece. Fascinating. What did the source of King Kupin has no soul? If you're curious, you could take away. Well, you wouldn't want to leave me unprotected. No. You're safer by the side, surely. Surely, so, I'll see you at your curiosity at the same time. Don't tell me if you want us to go in there. Are you... Mighty Bodyguard? Dungeons are where you just don't die. I'll have you now leave at B-class Adventures for... Um... Dakhan wants to go. His bodyguard is obligated. The priestess is kind of on the fence. She gets a bad vibe. She thinks someone should protect her. I agree. Someone needs to protect everything else. Be in charge. And a priestess who makes a promise on her faith is probably... Nua is not sure. Trusting her specifically, I mean, there's nothing all that bad about her. I mean, she could just grab a caravan and grab her. She can and the Visier's out here. You don't have a lot of firepower out here, but you do have two adult males. And a Ranger who might be able to come. I've always wondered why this is so much adventure. Exciting. Sforza, Manigal Light, and Kassabine down. We gotta give you stories to take along to your face. Now, I have to ask, should I read this off or not? What will it do if it's not under your control? That is a good question. Yeah. I bet the braces of light can probably take care of it. I wouldn't like that with her. It's more useful. I was just thinking it might be a way to communicate with more spores. Can you make him talk? Can you make him say, oh, I'm slayed, I'm slayed, I suck. The answer's no, he's too stupid. No, because it doesn't have a face anymore. And it's too stupid. It's a fungus for a face. It's like a mushroom. So you're descending the ramp. That smell gets stronger and you can't see it. You see the ramp goes down and then it turns and there's a little bit of light coming from the side there. You notice that there's an indentation where the ramp meets this turn. It's like a lower wall, ceiling, set, like an and Leash into the stone. There's... There is magic. This is a freshman. But you're welcome. You don't feel your magic being pushed against. Curiously... They're both pretty good at roguing, but... He is slightly better. Top. No traps. As he peers around the side. He wanders past the turf. What's her head around the corner? What is the ground? Is it natural? Work sandstone. Smooth. No seams. But this is probably not what the bedrock looks like. The perfect sandstone that's probably not what you have to see if you dug this far beneath up there. So it may be like an artificial sandstone. Both of them disappear beyond and Dakhan is sort of waiting to see if you guys think it's a good idea. Pip will go. Pip, you see something My face just beams delight. It is. I can't see that. We do the cameras watching you guys and it's slow-mo as you turn the corner. The rainforest. These tall, very tall, thick barked trees dominate this forest. The canopy is so high, but there's this whole ecosystem. Vines draping between the trunks. The lower branches host all forms of things. There's birds. There's climbing creatures, monkeys. What's the power source? The Sun. I mean, there's no like engine producing it. It looks like you're in a rainforest. You see occasional breaks through the canopy. You see blue sky. You see a river. And this is part of a valley of green miles and miles of green, white water, an open sky. Behind you, the door. It's still there, but there's nothing else. It's just a portal. The smell is overwhelming. It's real. It feels real. Dirt. The little bugs skittering around. I want to use the moths to figure out where the moon is and sort of get a sort of a general idea of where I am on the planet. There's a moon. Well, two moons actually. That is true. And a sun. that holds no fear of the creature. But it doesn't tell you. Like, this moth's mind is small. I don't need to know. I can figure it out from just where the moon is in the sky and sort of maybe... Because moths use electromagnetic frequencies. Was there? She's actually back looking at like, was there a barrier which we crossed into? The door, that's the doorway. Like, you could see that. But if you like walk around it, it's just a magical portal. There's more nature behind the doorway. This isn't like the corner of it. This is just a point within it. And There's something here as you explore a little bit. It's hard to see. Are these plants of my time? You recognize many of these plants and some of the creatures, but A little bit wrong. That bird with the big, stooping, gulping beak. Those weren't orange. Were they? You never saw an orange. I mean, it's beautiful. This... You see a dragonfly. You still have dragonflies in the world. But it has eight wings. and Gets Wings. You recognize most of these flora and fauna, but if you carefully analyze them, it's a little bit ginning. There's always a little bit something wrong. You see a monkey that has a third hand, the wrong of fingers. Sometimes as it moves, as it radiates, the third hand disappears and then reappears. Spores here are talking to you, but they're saying nonsense. It looks real. That was basically what I was trying to get from the rock is like have I changed location or not? The information is nonsense. It doesn't even clearly like the moons I mean it sees differently than humans. To put it out of character it's like communicating with the hologram. Hey, you can confirm something actually. that she's trying to get at for the sake of gravity. You can use astral navigation to pinpoint your exact location on the world. And even though you can't see the stars, you kind of can because you have a higher frequency sensitivity in your space. And both of you could probably climb pretty well. It's not like you're going to fall to your day. You could definitely climb. You can get way up into the canopy, you just look at the sky, and you see through the blue the stars are gone. They're completely gone. Yeah, and I don't just do I feel them like I feel would feel them? The first thing you were looking for is like are the stars in the positions they were in 2,000 years ago? Yeah. And that's mostly true, but it's a mix. It's a mix of old and new There's a couple of extra constellations that don't exist. Some of them are missing. This is something you can paint a picture. And you see why the moth is confused. She can scan the sky for just a minute and tell you that the celestial sphere is not moving. The moth has never seen the movie because it's never been nightly. There's always this moment. And while you're up here, you see something interesting. Nearby, clearing, and a tall, beautifully architected tower built into it. It's white and curvy, sweeping lines. A tower. A very fancy tower. Go towards the tower. You mentally notice the bearing trek through The beautiful- Yeah, I'm coming my way back. I have a star that's essentially going to see my way back. The star, this is super easy. The current star, just fucking that here, right here, this door. That's where. Like, got it. Fucking easy. Like a DC-10. Like, good, because follow me. It's like, no, I don't want to go to there. It takes about 15 minutes to trek through the difficult terrain Pip gets impatient waiting for all the honduras There's just this cloud of bugs and birds just like following you from a distance You see the clearing, there's a beautiful garden and the tower, it's like 300 feet tall and very peaceful. Songbirds chirp. No beings around greater than an animal. Doesn't look abandoned or ill-maintained, but it doesn't look clearly inhabited. That jasmine smell. It became stronger. It's stronger and you've been waiting like oh there must be like a bunch of jasmine in his garden. You don't see any. It's killing you because you remember the word jasmine and the smell. You don't remember what it looks like and you're hoping to be reminded. Is it white? Is it white? It's all new there? I know the name. I know the smell. The temperature drops nervously as you approach the tower. You can see your breath. And something kind of weird happens. You didn't enter the tower. You were within sight of its front door. But now... Did we get jumped to the front door? Oh. Or something? Maybe something that's over. Because... you're inside... fallacial hallways. High in marble, soaring arches. You see there's probably a more central atrium in front of you. Like behind you, it kind of looks like the hallway goes on forever. And something is approaching you. It's invisible, but then it sort of predators into reality, and then it finally takes corporeal form. It looks like a like a servant wearing fine You attire with impeccable poise and manner. But there's no person. It's just clothes, clothes, shoes, and all that. Just no person there. But it bows and speaks to you in a pleasant, hollid voice. The tyrant is expecting you. He asks that you leave your despair at the door. He gestures to a row of hooks on the wall where there's Vaguely cloak-like shadowy forms that don't want to resolve in your vision, but also several empties. What's our host's name? Right this way. Did you hear the same word? I heard it. Curious name? The servant was just fighting. I don't know if I have much to spare to have. He makes a show hanging an invisible cloak on the hook. And you do see something there. A smoky, shimmering shape. He's not sure about it. Okay, I'm going to go through the mental exercise of trying to hang up my worries on the expressed hook. Your worries about this place or just in general? About this place. It's like instantaneous. Why were you so concerned? This is the perfectly safe place. You're gonna learn such wonderful things and see all this That feels great. You can just hang your worries and anxieties. That felt amazing. I literally dropped worries on it. How about this lingering tiredness that I'm trying to claw back because of how interesting the voice is. Can I hear you? I don't know who my zombie is. It's a hook, so it works. He's got like a... I'm suddenly picturing the The Edgar Zombie from Men in Black. He's got overalls. He's got everything by the overrides. Shunday. I'm so good. I don't like hanging out. Do you follow the servant? So... You reach an atrium, it opens up to like it's clearly still indoors but there's a there's an opening skylight but the sky looks painted semi-impressionistic but it's still it seems like it's casting daylight. You see a handsome well-attired man sitting at a stone table The tables covered with books, scrolls, specimens of insects under glass. Is he real? He's talking animatedly to one who sits across from her. He looks completely real, sanglots-real. She is translucent with flickering and her features keep like quantum leaping between several different people. He's explaining something about the nature of life energy. Flows through living things like water through roots and she's, you know, nothing. Pay attention. So, let us give you a talk. Please, otherwise, this young cat doesn't seem to respond to your existence quite accurate. or some stars from Shari who shows you to go. He preferring the position of his face for everyone's youngest. Say that at the blue, there's various ladies on the side. There's a huge problem with Justin. Pure blue water just blowing through the... As you creep forward, you notice something weird. You saw some weird movement. You heard, not physically, but antennas, like a screaming Like when the grass screams like it's good. The insects are moving up. Which they're pressed into glass plates. They can't move and if they could it would have to be along a two-dimensional plane. But then they're like wriggling and trying to get free. They're stuck in place but they're panicking. Man, he's like, oh my gosh. This information is missing. I imagine that you have many things in your office, but I have no extent of memory. Then again, memory is one of the great risks of darkness that we can use. And as far as to have a good memory, that sort of magic is even possible. What are they trying to contain in this memory? his role of his agenda. He signs on nobody, I suppose he's very much forgotten about the person. He doesn't mean that's not right now. Yeah, it's not. Dakhan doesn't notice the eyeball, but like peering up from behind him, the rogue's like, you guys are conspiring. She just walks up and stands like four inches from his face. Hi. Sup? and Psychic Reforce Wars. You're using psychic communication. No. Mm-mm. Yes, I am. Look at those dice. Still higher level than you. Do you want me to invade your own mind? Turn me into one of your pets? You know what my specialty was when I was a silly contract killer? Wizards don't get them. It's all the secret. This is the old version. This is like, this is after he learned magic, but like before he did any serious deviling. This is probably before the cleansing war even. Just, first he had to achieve immortality. He's listening to Kallak. He's talking about life magic. The realisties. The ancient race of catlings had this natural power that makes the Pyrenees. They could shape life and will. They could take inanimate matter and arrange it and it could become creatures. They could change the forms of creatures. And he's fascinated with everything he's learned but the image doesn't seem to mind mentioning Rajat and all the wonderful things that Myrani's talking about. He speaks with admiration and envy. He understands the ways intellectually, but he can't replicate. He's trying to find Anything for the salmon? I don't want to look past the illusion and see the structure of the room and see if there's anything missing. Just delete the illusion. Maybe you're a psychic. It used my antennae. That's the thing, every physical sense is accurate. Is it? The physical manifestation, like the palette that we're seeing and the other things that we're seeing. Everything here is real. It's touchable. With the exception of the holographic thing. Yeah, she is not. She's partially real. I don't know if you have... if your sense is like... I've just been watching that one more for like, is there a time cycle on how long each one appears before a new identity and if there's any... There's about... There's a bell curtain. You see the same two or three faces a lot and you see like another dozen faces a little. How long do you watch? Enough to have confidence I've seen one full cycle. It's chaotic, so it's not a regular cycle, but you're like, okay, the 17 specific people, their faces, or at least their blurry, poorly devised faces. You're confident with your recall that it's going into those. And then, it's like you're, wait a minute. You close your eyes so you can focus on your sense memory for like one frame. It was someone else. It was you. I see, of course, I mean, you can't not see, like, you saw what you saw. But then again, this is a little bit of illusion. Maybe it's making you see things. But you don't see Pip in there. You don't see anyone else. And the thing is... There's something familiar about this man's face. His voice is a manner of enthusiasm. Yeah, I think she's been just listening. I think she was just watching the pender as she was listening to his voice. She's like, the voice is what she picked up on because it's the very sound face. Whenever someone you know talks, there's this instant process in the brain. Like, this is someone I know. Labels it as such. and that's how it felt. The event is about to begin. Please come with me. You don't have to come with him because you are already there. A vast throne room. Thousands of people fill it. It's like the throne room from Star Wars. You're up nearby on the dais watching with a close view as the same man regally dressed is completing a ritual. He ascends to where the throne is beside it on a blessed table with a grand crown. He places it on his own head and they roar with Cereciation, Long Live Kala, Ching, Eternal. And this architecture actually looks familiar. This reminds you of a real place in Tyr. I think, I don't know if it's, I think it's open to the public now. It's become something of a living museum. His ruling house changed a little bit over the years, but the basic form is accurate. The people in the crowd, like the first few rows, they look, you know, it's like they have mostly gnomes and maybe some rich merchants. Then you notice like, wait, that's that guy. They copy-pasted again. And you walk down the aisle, like, by the time you get to the middle rows, it's just like the same six people copy-pasted. And the back rows are like low-res. Like, they look fine from there, but when you get close, they're literally almost blocking Minecraft people. It's hazy. It's like a creature that ran out of RAM. You're curious at these strange beings because it's like new life forms. This twisted feature, like this man-like being horribly distorted. You get close and he lurches forward and grabs you. With red, red, red, my, to, net, name, r-rum, remember, I need to push something. They're looking at you with this like they can't look but their eyeballs can kind of go and there's this horrible tension like the people in WandaVision. They've been standing here cheering for centuries. This looks just like a real thing. Didn't often wear it. It wasn't a ceremony. It's a powerful cyano. It boosts people's face. You see that it does have a magical power, a weird magical power. You're not sure if the illusion is a fake magical illusion. That's a metaphysical illusion. Maybe a good enough illusion. That would be a pretty tremendous illusion. Based on all of your sensory input, you can have to bet this is a real medagite of floating on the head of a fake Galak. I'm sure you're only agreed. Except for the fact that this whole place is an illusion. Do you physically touch the crown? I don't physically touch it. I feel it. It has a buzz. I've had to have a crown before we're at it. This is a... This is an artifact. This... I'm not sure if illusions can make that. Okay, Dakhan, it's not your specialty. I am quite certain that this crown is safely in the box. I can recite any number of legends about thieves who touched on magic things in a dungeon. Yes, yes, just that there's no chance this is a real thing anymore. But here, all along, he wasn't missing his. This is this bait, like a fisherman who really wants us to touch it. Yes. screaming psychically active. None of you are psychically active, so you can't quite think of it. Technically spores are... or rather, it is, but the spores are... they don't make use. Spores are like, something's being really noisy. The scene dissolves. It's been paused for a moment, at like the moment of his grand air flickering, like VHS pause, and then it just dissolves. a huge stone table filled with sand, sand of different colors. It's been arranged improbably, most likely with an ordo spell, to perfectly resemble the landscape of the tablelands. And this little gold and silver figurines representing armies and cities in exquisite miniature detail Standing around this table along with you are several individuals. Loras, Amonim, Valali, Abolath-Rae, Kali-Lan, T'Kla, the champions of Rajon, sorcerer, kings, and pleads. He stands somewhat distant. Dakar and facepalming, listening to them with contempt. They're arguing. And it's all like, the scene looks like, if you're looking at one of them, it looks like she's talking and the others are impatiently waiting for their turn to talk. But like, then you look at somebody else and they're talking and what you hear is a cockney. There's seven different conversations at once. They're all violently disagreeing about things. He's above it all. He thinks they're being... But if you're looking to get more information, like none of you will probably ever be held at all, but Androvanus is not here. You have met Havon. And you're like, oh, it's him. Wait, no, it's not. He didn't have a beard. No, I guess men can grow beards. He didn't have just three eyes. Or a tail. Can humans grow three eyes? I mean, I can. It's like, again, it's like AI, like for a few frames of animation, it'll have a third eye and then it disappears. And then like, so there's a mouth, a mouth formed and it's not quite right. You met Hamanu a couple of years ago and it's not quite. It's like a stunt double. It's still like an artist's interpretation of it. It's, you know, yeah, it's like describing somebody to a police sketch artist. Like it's the broad strokes, but your human face recognition says this is a thing. So Cal, he looks perfect. The... This is... Look at the Silt Sea. Still water. Can you imagine? Look at that fresh water. Just a few days. What a tragic look. Look, green. The forest. Did you know tears are owned by trees? Beautiful, tall, and refined trees. More than the commoners could have hewn down in 2000. and get a chance. You hear them talking about the casualty figures and the millions that are dying. They're saying, you know, we've killed this many and we're making progress, but it's just not enough. By the way, If you can pick out a conversation, they are talking in a nearly extinct language that no one else understands. Dakhan has studied it, but it's one thing to understand properly pronounced Roman-era Latin spoken aloud by a native speaker, and another thing to understand if it's 13 people are talking about each other. But you're getting bits and pieces. You hear the mention of the Pyrene Kingdom. And you're like, wait, I want that one, but it just gets drowned out in the cacophony. The Pyrene Kingdom is like right at the edge of this map. And there's just a stab of loss, maybe a bit of guilt when you see the beautiful greens and blues that are representing it. instead of a sheet of black. They have so many forces assailing that kingdom. This is late in the war. Can I isolate where in time this is by virtue of the conversations they're having? You have a disadvantage because you didn't have a very good grasp of what was happening in the war for almost of it, but there's one obvious thing, the amount of defiling, like you were just there, you saw his palace. You're not sure where that palace was, but it wasn't in Tyr, but it was green, it was beautiful. There's very little of that left depicted in that palace. They've already robbed the Tablelands for most of its life. Nia, Pala, Guilherme, Nia, Pala, Guilherme, Nia, Pala, Guilherme, Nia. I rode the set. Nia, Pala, I ride to the sunset. A lewisage. I rode the set. Exit. Well, I was old just a sixteen. You notice something interesting. The figures. figurines. They don't move. Except one of them. One of them doesn't look... It's the size of the figurine. It looks like a pewter mini. Except it doesn't look like pewter. It looks like flesh and blood. And it's the Kallak figurine. He's trudging through the sand. He abandoned his post and he's like trying to get to the edge of the map. And he's like shouting his tiny little voice. He's struggling. These geographic features are daunting to his tiny form, but he doesn't appear to have magic. He looks up at you. You can see your enormous form. He's trying to climb. It's fruitless because you can tell that his final obstacle would be a wall of just about an inch of stone, but To him that would be like climbing a sheer cliff. Who is the little guy? I am down there. It's real. Would it miss a time if I smushed him? How about we go and say we... You can certainly say you saw this and that you did that if you wanted to take that story out of here. There's something so oddly familiar about this voice. Well, it's kind of sickening because the world melts around you and you're in a lecture hall. Stone speaks. arranged all to face a common podium. Kallak is standing at the podium mid-lecture. There's a slate behind him covered in dense arcane notation. The seats are empty, lecturing to Noah. His voice is hoarse as if he's been talking for years. Do you take your seats? Not terribly captured by the stone. Ah, good. He notices you and acknowledges you but doesn't seem to think that you're out of place. He's continuing to monologue about dense, arcane topics. They're not nonsense. They're making sense. They're almost right. There may actually be something worth listening to. deciphering from the writings of the novel. Professor, if I may, what is the set of invocation received from the novel? Next question. You see, it actually depends on the phases of the two moves. It goes into detail and is just about as lucid as the real He was an excellent teacher, he had many apprentices. He truly did want to spread out the narrative of this to many people as possible, as long as they didn't become a miraculous to the previous. Any questions for the Archman? You can just listen to the lecture too. She's listening for inconsistencies in his voice, actually. Like, from what she recognized, is he actually, because everything else has been off, but is the auditory element accurate versus the visual? This is the least sort of off in this place of life. Everything's nailed down. The thing is shifty. No text is like indecipherable or changing every time you look at it. And his mannerisms is like, it's less stilted, less rehearsed, more naturally. He gives you, you know, subtle body language. You speak and he immediately does that like thing where he's acknowledging that he hears you. What is your experience with Temp? It's a bit of a side discussion, but you can't help it if he starts to go into some details. He mentions that he first began studying this before the war, and he learned very little from Rajat. Rajat, you know, he had a certain talent, all Pyridians do. So he wanted to find a Pyridian The rarest type of magic, but he found something. And many long discussions about it. It was a relationship. There are notes of regret and loss. Your understanding is this would be the Cal Act of and the centuries after the past. It could be well over a thousand years, but he still remembers. Anyways, that's what you asked. The magic of the cell is... You have to understand that by re- the magic is like a song with its vibrations. Every string... Imagine a harp with a billion strings Everyone tuned to a different tune, and their vibrations are on the effects they can produce any sound, not a sound, anything at all, any energy. This was difficult to run my head around, but slowly, carefully, it makes sense. He takes a stick of shock and breaks it. One of the simplest stories, but it will take most humans more than a lifetime of history. It's a very long time for shock. I hope someday she can achieve the most mastery of the she has. Of course, it's been over nine centuries, but it's not a long time. Professor, what did become? and the magic brought about its end. It's a view in the other champions. He looks like he's trying to decide if he wants to take umbrage with the question. It is not certain. But I don't believe it was any champions. Certainly not myself. Certainly not myself. The greater tragedy of this land has never. I hope to make peace with the other people. Now that last survivors are in this land. This is an important note of the consequences of ambition. I am knowledgeable because I have had centuries to live, not because I've You see something interesting in the diagrams, Pip, because all this arc and ease didn't make a lot of sense. But what you're looking at, that doesn't look like a glyph. Most of the glyphs have a geometric, like, Rurality to them. They're like some sort of cosmic strings representing the 2D, like there's meaning there, even if you're not sure what it is. But this looks like a map of something real. Not exactly organic, but organic is a sort of part of its creation. Something that has to work in harmony with nature and the geos. And you realize that shape If that's Tyr, this might be all of the obelisks and how they're connected. Instead of one line between Tyr and each of the obelisks, there's like a central chunk. It looks a bit like a nervous system. The obelisks are fairly close to that central line, but it draws these branches instead of it. This one here that you guys entered and it goes down further the northern and eastern branches don't go nearly as far as the southern. There's actually a few on the other side of the place beyond the tablelands. This is a pretty important thing to copy, Denny. I'll do my best. The one that you're in is clearly marked as having destroyed. and several others. None of that's accurate for this time. He's talking about, he didn't say a thousand years, this is somewhere north of 900 years, still 700 years too early for the destruction of this place. Yeah, no, actually I think the character just was like, she sighed, but point of rage picked up as she tried to and Jacob a memory that she was not able to recall. So that I think, oh, it takes up rage. It's like tip of your tongue memory. This scene fades. And instead of melding into another scene, it's like it dissolves like sand falling into nowhere, revealing what was falling. This, you know, like, and you're dreaming and you're like, this isn't a dream, this is definitely real. I'm not sure this is real and of course it's not a dream. And then you wake up for real and you're like, oh, this is what reality feels like. How the hell did I forget? And there's something... It's cold, it's a little damp, it's... depressing the system to this place. There are mirrors here, not standing like floor mirrors, panes of the walls made of polished obsidian. The walls here have no geometric uniformity, just weird angles, but some of these are pointed at you and you can see your reflections in them, but not accurate. You look like your face is a- you have an entire monster's head, not just antennae. You just have straight up scales, beak. You just look like a little mini dragon. Dakhan is a snake. It's like a big Yuan-T, kind of impressionistic. The only furniture I need is a simple stone chair. Sitting on this chair is somebody who looks like a composite of all the different counties. Young and old, regal and broken, brilliant and hollow. He's there Dekhan looks very skeptical. You've never seen him look genuinely concerned. This is a law's qualification version of the different points and times. What year is it? in 1999, recently, or as we now say, three years, ten years. He's angry, he's afraid, he's barely holding it together. No, it was these ones. Yes, no. Yes, there was one more than I expected. You notice that he is speaking in an intelligible, if dated, dialect. It's like talking to a pilgrim in the 1700s. It's only a few telling words that are like, wait, it says that, but it's noticeable now. Yes, but you've right to be free to find a way I feel my purpose. I'm imprisoned. I shouldn't go anywhere, but I'm stuck here. How? I have been a great place that exists for so many times. But never. They're not illusions. It's like he tried to use Tempest to create a reconstruction of himself. This was his attempt at an attempt. This is a different attempt. You see runes emanating from exactly the point he's sitting on. contained by an antagonal outer layer of fear. Can I confirm that this is essentially just like an almost like an atrocious mistake in the use of Tempest? You can use any number of your abilities. You can simply analyze his magical aura for a start. Yeah. I mean, time duplicates would have a and Kira, I'll do first. Spells look like just pure energy, usually with a color or maybe a mix of colors corresponding to the type of magic. Look at that, baby. They're the baby. They're the baby cat. People don't. People have porn. Many colors and it can tell you a lot about their physical and mental state. It can certainly tell you if they're like an outsider or if they're a spellcaster. He has the aura of a living, human, powerful spellcaster. Not too different from Dakhan's, but more powerful. His aura is extremely twisted. He is an extreme mental As for what you can ascertain with your magic, he is just under 300 years old. But there's also a weight that time. Like, He's taken detours at right angles to this subjective experience of that might be a wish. Directly beneath him is a softball-sized orb of stone. You have seen one of these before. The resonance crystal. The first item on the item is unleashed. Do you still have the residence crystal? That residence crystal is a powerful magic item indeed, according to your magical sense. Do you go by a name? I am not him, I'm not him, I'm him! You're not. He's gone. You know, an idol, Sean, is his personality. They can be used as compasses. That would make sense if we bite along. He would not have the real possibility of that. He would have the power to occupy this. Take them over and become himself. That's why he can do that. He has the core of the skull of the comics. I shoot my name in 300 years. He had 290 of them to collect. He has the most expensive Well, shucks, I'm just a rogue. I certainly don't know anything about it. Some of all low-level ventures don't know anything about Eidolons. Why do you think I wasn't talking directly about it? You're such a great liar. Oh, great. I'm well aware of the underlying civil society. I've had my people see these markings. It makes sense that he can see the world in a place, some closer to his distance. How I understand the resonance crystals, what are they? So, the Dwarf put it is, the Eidolons aren't supposed to wake up in the dust-tallings. So they're kept in a state of not waking up through rituals. There are usually people sort of enslaved to do this job. They don't even know what they're doing, it's like just a religious rite. That's probably what the Kaladnis were coming up here to do. and when you stop, the Eidolons start waking up. That's what they're doing, Sanji, taking the slave. Yeah, exactly. But what he mentioned is, Kallik doesn't want the Eidolons to wake up. He wants to wake them up when he needs them because as soon as they wake up, they can't. They can throw their own personal. Exactly. Eventually, they might not want to be subsumed in things. And then if he's worried about, you know, them even having sentience for a week or two, 300 years! This is an incredible discovery of all of the knowledge from his memory. He himself can't be a standard of the censor. My lord, I served you faithfully for many of us, and will gladly continue I don't think it's a good source of service. We can but find a way to free from this prison. He'll now be. I can't say. Can't escape. No escape. He can't. He can't. No, he's gone. Big Bad is gone. He's gone for this trap today. Prison deeper than I was in the strong room. I don't think it's another sorcerer king. Role Charismachick. Yeah, I kinda like Kana Mekin the Great. Me too. He gives the senator a bit of a side eye. And then she's always on the other side of him from the camera. She's like, how are you a little group? I mean... 22. You're saying he... that he... He said the word and he's- She doesn't even know she knows him yet. So don't- Yeah. As soon as he said the word Kallax, something changed. It's like his mind crystallized. As you enter the area in those ruins, they light up and roll a charisma save. A6. That's excellent. You fail. Pushes you outside and you kind of go sshhh, and it hurts a little, but he's good. You should take the opportunity of freedom to be your own self. Take a new name. I know the direction this conversation is going. No, you're quite right, but you are not he, but you. Rightfully, I claim his team. Tears of desperate need are strong guidance. Tears of cruelty. Something on the way. I've seen everywhere. I've seen that. What's you in the world? Reality. Reality. Reality. Reality. Reality. Reality. Outside, I remember it all. I've never seen it. Or so many things. Between you. But I have never seen it. You can go under the and he conjures the portal. It leads right back to that threshold. I mean, he steps through. And as soon as he does, you're just right there along with him, back in that rainforest. and he carefully steps forward as if it disbelieves. He's almost taken. He sees that threshold just beyond the turn and he looks and he can behold the sky. And just takes a moment to appreciate it. He hurts himself and he looks back at his prison for centuries. Oh, it starts to fall apart and make believe. And Something you're not sharing. A long pregnant moment, an elongated instant. As to the best of your later analysis, your rapid attempts to make sense of what you saw, you'd guess that an object not much bigger than a fist, probably stone, traveling at I don't have a word for this, but let's call it Mach 300. He stopped down the shaft and hit him right in the face. And all his power and magic, there was just no time. Just the violence That happens to a body when that much kinetic energy is applied to it. And this is just a spider and anybody else that makes... I'm not gonna do the screen that way to inevitably. That would be so cool! She's screaming and... Let's see. This one? Thank God. I don't believe in ghosts. I'm a friend. This one, I'll just YouTube it. Abel, don't forget to give them off like a rat. With that, everyone is just stunned for a moment. His ruined body just collapses into a heap. That object hit the stone and created an explosion and there were splinters of stone flying everywhere. It's like a high explosive, maybe a small nuke went out. But there's a prismatic wall in front of you. And as soon as he's sure the explosion has stopped, Dakhan lets it down. You see energy, massive amount of arcane energy flowing from the body swirling up toward a point out of sight. Levitating down, you see burst his hand slate gray like living stone He absorbs the Eidolon's energy. Zayin, the first Eidolon. He finishes the grim task and beholds you impassively. He doesn't say any kind of cool villain speech. No thanks, Everyone's got a plan, which means I'm gonna use this map even though I'm gonna fight. Let me just create. I didn't bring this one to the next one. Such a sweet cuddle nugget. He's just a cuddle. We have part just for him. You should honestly have the Mr. Burns name for him. I lured you into this thing to bring him out to come get him killed. Mwah. Mwah. Now, I did say... That's that person that fucking destroyed that person. I should have seen her just creating a line of fucking sight. Yeah. That was a failed ending. Evi, what are you doing here? Go ahead. Nia, Nia, Nia, you're both not here. I just imported everybody from Phoenix. I need like sub-parties. Yeah. Now do you need Dakhan's retina? I'm just gonna end this initiative and start out her because it's just a big thing. Dakhan, Siam, Anak-su, oh she's not here. Where are those tokens? That's weird. The party just totally failed. Sorry, let's just take care of this one. Let's- why can't I add her? What the fuck? What is the challenge of adding this character? Failed to create tokens. Oh, cool. Alright, I guess she's hiding. Can I at least use the map? Okay, and you guys aren't seeing any of the updates. Oh, this is not. Sorry. Damn. Can this user create a map? It would be nice to have one on the back in this site. Failed to create to them. Good thing Dakhan made it. Alright, you're not actually in a destroyed time and place. Positioning's not all that important in this fight. Now look, he goes first. He determines that the most dangerous target is Dakhan. What's the best way to deal with him? Well, he just showed that he has a good defense against high velocity stone virgin. Something internal. Power kit. I don't know. We're fucking not gonna think about it. She's gonna play something else. Party. Jane, while I'm back on. Good job, you're done. My butt doesn't look down. Do I look frail to you? If you have a key, you can tell my stuff, oh my gosh, that's the blood. Is the power kill a secondary effect? Nope, no effect. Good thing I have more than a hundred hit points. Yeah, his con is not a dump stat, his con is 32! You have 280 hit points! He's got some monster stats! He has durability! We can spell, interesting. Dammit! You can't cook in a 9th level spell! What the fuck? Why is it garbage? What the fuck? I wanna assist him. Whoa! Hey, what the fuck? Charisma. Okay, what is happening to this property? Will this one work better? Okay. So my generator is busted. Let's call that plus the 15 minutes. Okay. Again, does that have... It won't even let me sign in. What are they saying? Well, it went for the secondary sign-in and I have the normal thing where I have it sent to my home and then it's saying, or sign-ins and I'm like, but this is the same sign-ins. You got five. Okay. Contingency. This would completely debilitate him. He is going to not have that. He casts a contingent to dispel magic. Not doing it. Why is it only plus 12? That doesn't look great. Nope, that's accurate. He's not that bad, Pip. Farewell! He's not dead. Let's see, what type of imprisonment? Slumber? Yeah, he just falls asleep. Viz. Hey you, non-existent lady, didn't you say something about killing spellcasters? Please import me. I don't know what to do. I need her to be in this fight. Can you go to her character sheet? Yeah, I can just use the character sheet directly. You need all hands on deck. I gave it one, two. I've both stabbed it two times. She's gonna go on Viz's turn. Her attack is plus nine, plus ten. I thought I filled out her prevention. And her attacks. I was gonna give her A token, so I know that They both rush over to him and attain 20. I kill you! Stab! He stabs at a 20. Advantage! 26. Does that stand out of place? It does do critical damage, but even so, it does not penetrate the object's hardness. Zero damage. She attacks. Great! You're really good at killing spellcasters! Um... I'll have time before that I'll have it. Wouldn't that be great. I don't remember when you weren't here, let's go back to it. That would be ridiculous for wanting to check out if we were doing this. Uhhh... She's mad and she can't rage at you. You're outside of the book and slash Joan. Freeze him in obsidian. Can I tackle? Sure. I can tackle him to the ground. Air Rage gives you advantage to melee attacks. Unfortunately, he's immune to aging. But you're not sure if he's immune to, like, fire. So I just target the same thing? Yeah. If you click Claws and target him, it should do all the and I'll see you next time. Um, no. I see... I'm gonna... you're seeing this. I am seeing that map and I'm seeing that it's my turn and I just... Oh, I see Claws now. This is really slow. I'm gonna apply Vanish to this. Really? It's not that hard to hit, technically. He's got this hardness effect. But you said you were tackling him, so this is technically a grab. His hover is strong enough that he's just bearing his face. He's like a freaking koala. I'm not really sure what I could do with this guy. Maybe desiccated? Is he sculgrating? Looks pretty dry if he's made of living stone. Yeah. He has a soul. Drain. Soul Drain. Drain is a living soul. That's probably all of us, actually. Kind of what he just did to the other guy. He who steel forces himself unless he has crystal, blah blah blah. Suffers one of the mediation, probably rank that's two. Hey, that's useful. and you can go to Soul Shard. And with the Soul Shard you can do the volume. It uses the synthetic component of the electric. You can speak the subject's voice. You can attempt to convince a magical effect that it's in between targets that you are in fact the creature. And as a reaction you can redirect any targeted magical effect that is about to harm you to the subject instead. You can also expand the Soul Shard, you can have a two, to gain one chosen masculinity of the target, or one element. and know that ability exists. He can fly, he can throw rocks really fast, he can cast Imprisonment and Time Stop. Can I cast Imprisonment on him? Yes, you can. He was the sole shard in accesses of the power. What happens to you, curiously, as if you might need to reassess? Roll your spellcasting bill- is it wisdom? Yeah, I think so. Did you cast Fungle Bashin? Okay, yeah, so that counts as your spellcasting bill. 27. That is a fine roll. He has to roll, now I don't know if these kind of extensions are packed. Wisdom check. So he rolled He doesn't even say this is so important. He makes a wits and he's shagged with eight. Yeah, so he can't just get an eight, so that must be the die roll. He still had no wisdom. So let me add his wisdom. That's 18. Here's the thing about imprisonment. You choose a type of imprisonment. Burial. Entombed far beneath the earth in a sphere of magical force. Nothing can pass through the sphere, no kind of creature teleporting. That doesn't make him much Chaining, you can put heavy chains firmly rooted into the ground. Hedged prison, teleported into a tiny demi-planet, teleporting into celebration and planar travel. It could be a labyrinth, cage, tower, smoke, and a character. Minimus container, it turns into a one inch tall and imprisoned inside a gemstone. He is presumably, he can move around and you can't teleport. Can I, can I, can I, can I reactivate the imprisonment? spell since we're right here. It's a special circumstance. You want to use it as a counterspell? I want to reactivate the containment. Well, you already targeted the hint. Oh, you mean, oh, you're standing inside a magical prison? Yes. At a prison's idolatry? Yes. Interesting. You are currently in size. Well... Although, those other dudes were going in. That's powerful magic, but it is specifically his magical ability. If he's a Kalak, he has that power. You reach through connecting with this strange foreign magic, this prison, using the power of the void. You can feel how it was built. For one, void magic was involved. That's where the defilers get all the power. Exactly. And It was designed so that if the Eidolon wakes up, it's a failsafe, it completely looks dead. He's trapped inside. If Kallak ever wants to reclaim him, he could, but if he's incapacitated, this Eidolon will become a failsafe. And that failsafe was destroyed by Zayim blasting the door. The only prison after that point was in his own mind, because he thought it was the one. That's why he was allowed to try to leave. But with this power, you restore the imprisonment. The doors are clear and slam shut behind him. And all Eidolons of Kalad were trapped inside. But fully conscious, sentient, and able to take action. Yeah, exactly. You gotta escape! He looks at you. He doesn't show emotion, but if he could, he'd be pissed. He did not see that coming. Flutter my wings and giggle. He moves, bowling over the ropes. You hold on! You're flying behind him like a scarf on an aviator. and he's exposing it right to you and he's just gonna grab you and shirk the life out of you. Yeah, you're only temporarily even. I can't click this. Alright, 28 to hit. The damage... Not that. It's just a 61. But what about the heroic Thorkskin? Unfortunately it's not stoneskin, it just gives you AC. And your AC's not coming. No. Harry? Can I have my zombie intervie? He's not at disadvantage with somebody grappling him? That is my hit points. So it's still worth it probably. By default rules you don't get a designated amount of attacks against other creatures. The only direct effect is that you speed it up zero, but that's not true because you can just fly. I might have to take that. Yeah. You can have... Pip pops. Let's see. A heal-harm mode that might kill the server. But I did it anyway, because I'm stupid. You are in the dying condition as the air shows the white paint. Everything goes black. Comfortably, nicely black. Comfortably none. Okay, I have to pee. I'm sorry, Bruce. No, that permit the departure. That would be fun, but you know, I just think that's a good idea. He very quickly looks up all his spells. He's very smart. He can do this in real time. Time? No, that wouldn't help him. Time. Maybe. Uh-uh. You can spell Fox. He casts on me. On me or on? On you and your dragon-y self. He casts I'm just gonna have him cast Stonebolt, but that's not what he's casting. And he gets a 29, and it's a charisma save. That's your best one! Still a 20. What is this? He's actually doing a physical attack on me? Uh, no. He is forcing you to use your device. He wants to know that. He's gonna turn back the clock. While forcing me to use my voice? You realize exactly what's happening. As you feel your lungs spill, your vocal cords are primed. But my vocal cords don't work. It happens because that voice is not yours. It's not available. And he's... confused. Didn't we get a big fucking hammer? We got a big hammer. I don't know where, but I remember we got a big hammer. It's called the Stalagmite Breaker. And it's in January. Damanai, do you have a Stalagmite Breaker? Oh, I guess I do, if you're me. I believe the Stalagmite Breaker This is such classic, like, fucking D&D shit. Some random shit dropped a random hammer. And it is, yes, it is a heavy stone-headed hammer that deals extra sea gems, objects, and structures made of stone. Tosses this obsidian dagger aside and pulls off the breaker. I need a real dice for this. No whammies. That's a whammy, alright. In terms of whamming a hammer against him. Alright, he hits the AC. This weapon bypasses the stone's hardness and, in fact, causes damage. Now, it's a one-handed hammer, so does not damage damage. And he's not very strong. Not strong, Abiz. Not very strong. Ten, okay? Ten. Well, the fact that he's been vulnerable to this... ...it only does age to damage, but he is surprised as some of his stony facade cracks on him. And it does more than that because it's a sneak attack. It was a hammer, but it's still a 16-inch. He certainly wouldn't expect that to do anything to him. He's crying. Just a matter of time now, Bob. He's considering as... She looks at her dagger and says, fuck it, and pickpockets the hammer from him. Hey! and she takes another... She does the rogiest rogue bullshit you've ever seen. She takes the one-handed weapon, attacks once, tosses it in her other hand, attacks the offhand, too. You can't dual wield one weapon. Duel weapon master. She actually does... I told you, better rogue. Oh, because I'm better. That's what better means. You stole him a 10 strength, stupid. Yeah, but I also have poison, preparation, skull blade, yeah none of that's fucking useful, is it? I don't know, it's not. Devil Rures. Whatever, I got this full hammer. Alright, so she hit twice, that's 38 plus zero times two times two. 2 again. Okay. Knock fucking around. The Stoneskin attempts to ablate the damage. This weapon specifically ignores all the defensive properties of stone. It does 160 damage. Alright, you can have the hammer. Fuck me. That is He's missing some important chunks. You're not sure about stone people, but in people, that's where the pancreas goes. It's hammer time. You're like... It's hammer time! Hammer, you weaklings! Hammer to the one with some strength! Well, where did the initiative tracker go? It just stops here all the time. Well, I believe you were up next. and Pip is after you, so this is all of them. Alright. Yes, you're still on him. You gotta dodge the hammer. Don't hit me, hammer! Raps, he's like, he's scared. She gives it up. You are not as much of a wuss. And you have advantage to melee attacks and damage rolls. This thing, uh, He ignores the defensive properties of stone. Let's see. Also a plus two to hit, but forgetting that. And he has a minus two to everything because I'm still doing it. So, I'm a natural with this. What is the to hit with this? I only got a ten. Did you roll with advantage? Okay, plus two plus two. That's 21, that is more than nothing. Now it does 2d8 plus two times two. And if you want, you can copy her. Until the rules are updated to say that you can't do a single weapon. It's a one-handed weapon so you can attack one. So 13 on the first roll. 11 on the second. You can, as a swift action, give yourself haste. You can only give yourself 25% haste, but it's nice. What was the two damage roll? 13 and 11. 11, 25. and Geely, and I don't know if we're not. But that was before, I didn't mean anything. That was just natural. So the actual number is 52. Contingency, oh boy. What's the contingency? As the The first one lands, you got brightness in his chest. He looks up and he actually shows concern. He didn't wake. He's swinging it at his face and the contingency goes off. Chain power work. What did he put to? Six. What did he put to his business? Yeah, we're all actually viable targets for a big number of seven. Oh, her con is garbage. So yeah, sure what happens. But I want to check something. Let's see if I can't evade, prevents, or evade, Now, the Peridot isn't as much as here. Steal spell. Fuck man, steal his spells! What is it? Works for me! So it didn't. Powered kill. What does this say? Instantly kill. My creature. 100 points or less. What did they die? They just do... Yeah, they just... It doesn't do damage. Okay. I was hoping it did damage. Can I do a time thing and just get him somewhere else that doesn't trigger him to go into the death spree? You're gonna... His foresight foresaw that he was gonna drop to zero. Phase evasion. Interesting. Is that a scion feat? Well, this is not the latest version of the character she died. Should be looking at the one on the server. Where are your characters? TruePip. Has no powers. Yeah, TruePip. I got it, we got a new Pips character sheet. What do you got? Reactive Absorb. Yes, yes, yes, yes. Reactive Absorb. No. He has to... Can he absorb the caster? This is kind of important. This is a TPK scenario. We're going to take our time. Yeah. Absorb magic. Okay. You drain one Vitae per wizard. Okay, so... A spell affecting the target. So he needs to absorb her community. Don't worry, she can't. Roll... Okay, he touches. Rosacon save against the spells DC? Oh god. Alright, Mr. Bad Guy. Plus 15. Natty. Natural one. He is epic level. So the DC of his spell is fine. Which is good. It doesn't matter if he still observes the energy. He just takes damage. A lot of damage. He takes 5d4 plus 7. That's 23. That won't kill me. The power will kill me. Now, he only takes two points off of that 5-Rex spell. So there's a 40% chance that this works. And I want each of you to roll a d10 on the table. You'll be the 10's digit. Okay. As he leaps forward, you feel the death magic grip your heart, it stops, it's cold, is this it? You had so much... screams as the black energy of this terrible spell absorbs into him. and it doubles over in pain, but you feel a lot better. You are not dead, and you are the first target of the spell, which means the chain spell does not change. And momentum continues. Elmo as his head does exactly what Kallax did barely a minute ago. The magic inside him is released. A blast. You would be worried about getting thrown into trees, but the trees have been dissolving rapidly ever since Kallax's title on. and some part of that energy is still there. It whispers, Thank you. Give me the chance. You all land in water, sideways water, you have to re-arrind yourselves. And you get stuck together, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. But The water turns into a pillar, and you ride it helplessly. You feel like you're at the bottom of an abyss. There's something tiny at the top. This jet of water lifts you back up to the threshold, and you hear his voice. You barely reach the threshold. sleeping form of the Kong, the rogue. We escape? Yes, we escape. This whole internal universe is crashing down, but it's still a valid Eidolon prison. If that guy has some means of putting himself back together, well, he's still in an Eidolon. I'm not fond of the Sorcerer Kings nor releasing them. I wasn't suggesting we could bring him. No, but you were going to accidentally do it. You see the light. He wasn't gonna be himself, so was it really free? He didn't know that, and he probably would turn into something like himself or worse. They settle- set to calm down. He curls up into a little fetal. Did you just fucking kill that guy? No, not exactly. He blew him real good. and the wizards. We dissipated the energy, whatever it was. My dead still? I mean, I probably- Oh yeah, you're not in very nice things. You have her. You give her a quick little healing. She has compressions. Oops, still in rage. Oh well. She's in time healing. Yeah. You're stabilized. You get a little healing potion. Maybe I have a squish. You're gonna have to figure out what to do about this sleepy boy. You just legit defeated this motherfucker and also imprisoned him in his own little poison directly by his own. I feel very vindicated for our failure in our first mission given that rectifier. But we still haven't succeeded on this one because our client is fast asleep. I'm not sure exactly how to wake up. But no, I was saying that first one got resolved. And our third mission, we'll undo whatever happened to him. We'll always do that one mission. No, he's not. He's not. He's just physically fine. He's just sleeping. We better wake him up. Oh, I will. Freeze this! Man down! She was watching the dawn when you got here, and as she approaches the sun that's rising behind her. You've all taken a few scratches in there. You pit most of all, and the holy light restores your vitality, and it's your Sledger and Breeze, too. But it's gonna take a little more than she's got in the tank to undo this imprisonment spell. It's not even concentration, even though he's dead. This is a permanent spell, but it can be dispelled by a suitably powerful... Oh. Can I do a more of a rewind time version on him to get him back to the time before he was imprisoned? It would have been easier. She did it for the first round. Now it's been several minutes. Well, technically, under the current system, 23. It's not likely, but it's possible. Especially with health. I can help because I understand the imprisonment spell now. You have a little bit of insight. I think that's true. Roll your spellcasting check with advantage. Yours... not as much with advantage. And the priestess will help. Uh, well, it's plus... 20. 20, 22... It's all down a pit. My roll is 15, so I'm just trying to figure out what my wisdom is. That is sufficient. You just barely get over 24. He rapidly, all the movements he's done in the last few minutes. Wait, where? Okay, I did not expect that. I didn't fail this job too. I couldn't stand being a failure. It seems to have been the linchpin for their failures. Two different quests we've gone on. I think I would have had to eject myself from the game after that. You debilitated me. You turned back the first time. What of the... I suppose you affected an escape from the tomb. It looks quite intact now. Yeah, don't worry about that guy. He's not coming back. Boss, I can't lie, it was pretty fricking random. She just made his face... ...fitting and deserved. No, I mean, the only reason I can't do that is because... ...the opportunity... No thanks to you trying to backstab us by going back to the Sorcerer King now. Do you understand the opportunity that he took away from us? All of the knowledge. He was a teacher. He was a master. By the way, so I may... I don't think we should take this as a loss. If we can take anything kind of left-hand as an indication We found two Edelons now, which means there's more. So maybe that just means feature quests, secret missions, or services with the viable options. I want you to show it. Siphoning is probably something. It was trying. Trying to resurrect itself. They actually did that before. Under the city. It's like the remaining members of the... There's different parts we're gonna try and construct themselves and then try and go... We didn't need to frame... That the wielding Calix magic, but there's nothing like it. It has differentiated itself. This is an existential threat on a single one. These things can awaken mere weeks after their creation starts. Who knows how many of them are awake now? I think it's worth mentioning that this is also a maintenance that went wrong. Oh Lord, do not think we are so close to Calibata. She can help you. I don't think anyone Magic Team to undo this. We'll need some count, Sorcerer Queen. Is your hero to the test? She is the chosen one. Certainly so. Then we must be pleased to count. and the greater importance of the... as dramatic as it would be, still a decent distance from the city, but the next day is easy as Aethis goes and you meet Flying the colors of the city, its pharaoh, a small military detachment sent up this way. They detach an escort. They're just patrolling this road. You have little to fear in the remaining day. and... because that day you were sleeping. She was so sleeping. And you just popped out and she was like, I hear you push through. She's like, I just pushed through most of my rest day already. I'm so done. Day 11, which is day 2 for you. You see it, undeniable, gleaming in the distance. A massive pyramid, gleaming white. Golden Cabin. This road winds down this the city is built in a lowland so you can see a nice aerial view. The city is geometrically perfect, laid out in its eight cardinal directions and at its center this massive open air and how I've seen blue water. Surrounding the city between its walls by the leek, bone-white sands. It is a lush oasis, miles in radius from the city, rich farmlands irrigated by the Queen's magic. The city reborn, sorcer queen, newt stage, Next. I couldn't think of any more dramatic shows. I didn't plan things. with that guy now, but you know, that fucking drain soul is such a fucking clutch move. And I was so waiting for you to rewind time with the comment, yeah. I'm like, if only someone could like just undo what just happened. But she wasn't thinking, she was thinking with her rage. At that point I think she was also She's just thinking about the memories at that point. She was so furiously trying to connect to this memory. I try and imagine those moments like if you had a word that you knew after a traumatic brain injury that you know longer do and it's just like it literally will not come and so you know it's there but you can't connect to it and she's like I know this person This seems like the best version of him too. The ones that you've seen. This was the teacher, the philosopher. The four-acre. He was like a little baby. He's like, I've been born, the world is before me so many possibilities. That name sucks. He just did that because He wanted to do exactly that and he also wanted to destroy you guys. When he came here, at least one of you would destroy the other. And he just didn't account for the emotions. Like, why would you be nice to him? Why would you not try to seize his power? You see, the problem with Zane is he just had no emotions. He was just all a lot of it. Because each of the Eidolons is fundamentally Some important part of how existential humanity is available. Some exaggerated plot. Just to make sure...
