Perched atop the crumbling gargoyles and clock towers of St. Marks Square, Don Corvino rules the city’s skies with the quiet menace of an untouchable mob boss. What the snooty faeries view as dirty street pests is in reality an airborne intelligence apparatus and smuggling network numbering in the tens of thousands. Corvino speaks in a low, gravelly coo, demanding total respect, a cut of every rooftop drop, and first pick of the bakery grain shipments across the central plazas.
Corvino maintains a frosty, volatile truce with The Big Cheese; while the Norway Rat lords over the flooded sewer drains, Corvino controls the eaves, telephone wires, and ledges above. His syndicate specializes in interception—snatching jewelry from open terrace windows, intercepting couriers, and delivering contraband packets for the Blood Baroness. Anyone foolish enough to shortchange the Syndicate finds their outdoor cafes overrun, their courtyards carpeted in white grime, and their private communications sold to the highest bidder on the Gutter Run.
