The Everflow
A vast river that flows in a grand circle and reaches no sea, supporting a rainforest with nearly as many species as the rest of Everdew combined. The Iyara follow it, build nothing that cannot travel, and defend it without qualification.
The Land
The river is the region. It runs a closed loop through the Greenmantle's south-east, and the jungle it waters is denser, wetter and far more crowded than the High Forest to its north — a single bend of the Everflow will hold species found nowhere else and catalogued by nobody.
Where the loop comes nearest the province's southern edge, its overflow drains away into the Silt-Braided Basin of the Veldt, which is the only water the Everflow gives up and the reason the Basin exists.
To the west the ground rises into the Roan; to the north the trees climb into the High Forest.
The Iyara
Water nymphs who keep no permanent homes at all. Their villages are rafts, barges and pontoons that travel with the current, so an Iyara settlement is a place that will be somewhere else next season and considers this normal.
Playful and generous with anyone they have decided to trust, and utterly without give on the subject of the river. The Everflow's ecosystem is not a resource to the Iyara, it is a body, and they will fight tooth and claw over injuries to it that outsiders cannot see. More than one Kingdom survey party has discovered the boundary of Iyara patience by crossing it.
Encounters
Roll d100. A closed loop of river through the densest country in the world. Nothing here is catalogued and everything is occupied. CR is scaled to Faerie size — see Challenge by Size.
