The Misted Fjord
South of the northern ice, where the Singing Sea reaches into the mountains: deep inlets, towering cliffs, waterfalls and dense forest under permanent mist. The Fossegrim live here, make musical instruments, and would very much like to teach you.
The Land
A land of stark contrasts, where cold sea water meets warm temperate forest and produces the fog it is named for. The inlets run deep enough that a ship can sail into the mountains; the cliffs above them carry waterfalls that drop further than most Faeries will ever fly.
East is the open water of the Manywaters, and north of that the ice of the Boreal Shards. West lies Edelweiss.
The Fossegrim
Generally held to be the comeliest of the Dwarven tribes, a judgement they neither dispute nor dwell on. Their only serious craft is instrument-making, because music is the thing they actually care about.
They do not merely want an audience, they want students, and will press lessons on any visitor who stands still. The Fossegrim regard a person who cannot play as an unfinished piece of work, and their hospitality has a curriculum attached.
Encounters
Roll d100. Cold water, warm forest, and fog between them. Nothing here announces itself. CR is scaled to Faerie size — see Challenge by Size.
