The Shadowed Vale
Rolling hills, small woods and moonlit farmland in the middle of the province — a close cousin of the Meadowlands with the sun taken out. The Navi grow the strange crops that prefer moonlight, and take them to the Duskmarket.
The Land
Relatively peaceful and relatively open, which in the Twilight Veil counts for a great deal. The crops here luminesce faintly and will not grow under a normal sky, which makes the Vale the only reliable source of a dozen commodities the Kingdom has become quietly dependent on.
To Spriggan eyes the Vale is as vibrant and colourful as the Heartland, and considerably less painful to look at.
South lies the Twilight Forest; north, the Nightmarsh; west, the ruin-country of the Hollow Marches. A short border in the south-east touches the point where the Taiga and the Briar Patch meet.
The Navi
Farmers, herders and traders, and the most conventionally settled people in the province. They sow, tend, and travel to and from the Duskmarket with a regularity the Leshy find dull and the Loa find admirable.
They are also the Veil's diplomats by default, being the ones who deal with outsiders most often and dislike it least.
Encounters
Roll d100. Open farmland with the sun taken out. Gentle, until something comes off the Marches or out of the sky. CR is scaled to Faerie size — see Challenge by Size.
