Adamantine
Adamantine is an incredibly hard metal
described in the DUNGEON MASTER’s Guide. Some folk
in Faerûn believe that metallic adamantine is made by
combining adamantine ore and the correct proportions of
silver and electrum, or even by combining steel and mithral, but dwarves and others in the know scoff atsuch tales.
Weapons fashioned from adamantine have a natural
enhancement bonus on attack and damage, as listed below
and explained on page 242 of the DUNGEON MASTER’s
Guide. Adamantine weighs the same as steel, has hardness
20, and has 40 hit points per inch of thickness.
