Story
Following a treasure map found in the Tomb of Horrors, the party sets out for the remote Marching Mountains in northern Calimshan. There, they find a village of monks who have endured a terrible attack. The monks lead them to Titan's Gorge, wherein they find an old cavern, now the residence of a clan of fire giants.
Delving into the cave, they travel through ancient dwarven mines, ultimately finding a fortress surrounding a font of liquid adamantium. The fortress has been claimed as a "temple" by a splinter cult of the same monks under Sun Li-Chu. While considering the guru's offers to hand over his brother Sun Li-Wan, the party finds themselves in an undercroft under the fortress.
Exploring the undercroft, they learn that it is the tomb of Galdov, the 13th and last thane of Clan Tarvok, who, in his madness, slew his own people (including his family) and spent 37 years alone in his clan hold, carving out his own tomb.
After handling his many traps and golems (including the Deconstructor and the vicious Red-Light-Green-Light monster), and of course thoroughly looting his treasures, they find his remains, and promise the many ghosts of his victims-slash-family-members that they will put him to rest...for good.
Things almost get nasty when Li-Chu's goons show up to demand the remains, but the party makes a deal: they'll hand over Li-Wan, in exchange for the slaves claimed by Li-Chu's faction. Turns out they both agreed about the remains. Anyhoo, they make their deal, but there's a twist--Sun Li-Sheng escapes, and tries to stop the party from betraying her master. When she realizes she can't buy them off with treasure, she comes up with a better idea...
All seems to be going well; they show up with Li-Wan at the gates of the keep. The trade is made, and the slaves are freed. Then, everything explodes. Turns out Sun Li rigged the keep, the mines, and the temple with loads of high explosive pilfered from the party (after they pilfered it from the mines). Presumably, the monks, the fire giants, and the entire Sun Li family are killed in the blast. The end.
(After arrival in Calimport, Aman distributes hearthstones and invites the party to stay in the villa.)
