Spellcasting
- You learn spells like a wizard:
- Learn all cantrips at 1st level.
- Learn 3+Int 1st-level spells at level 1.
- Learn 2 spells free each level.
- Spells go in your spellbook.
- The Spells you may learn are taken from the Sorcerer/Wizard Spell list.
- You prepare spells like a wizard.
- You cast spells like a wizard.
- Major ability score: Intelligence/Charisma.
- The Save DC and other ability bonus dependent effects of your spells are based on your Charisma, However to learn a spell, your Intelligence must be equal or higher to the level of the spell+10.
Bardic Music
You learn supernatural musical effects as you gain Perform ranks. You learn each song below automatically when you gain the appropriate number of ranks.
Activating bardic music is a free action. The music remains active until you dismiss it, or until you become unconscious, silenced, stunned, or paralyzed.
You may only have one bardic song active at a time.
Bardic music is a supernatural effect.
You can empower a bardic music effect by expending a spell slot. This is essentially the same as casting a spell, in that the effect has its own duration, and does not count as bardic music. Thus, you could empower an Inspire Courage effect, and while that effect is active, switch to Inspire Competence.
When allowed, the save DC for your Bardic Music effects is equal to 10 + your Perform modifier (ranks, Cha, equipment, etc).
- Inspire Courage: Perform, 4 ranks. 50-ft emanation, allies gain +1 morale bonus to Will saves, attacks, and weapon damage. (Refrain: +2 to Will saves, attacks, and damage, lasts 2 rounds per spell slot level)
- Countersong: Perform, 4 ranks. 50-ft emanation, allies may use your Perform check instead of an applicable save against any effect that relies primarily on sound. (Refrain: as area Dispel Magic against such spells, using Perform check instead of caster level, up to 1 spell per target per spell slot level)
- Fascinate: Perform, 4 ranks. 50-ft emanation, noncombatants pay attention to you only, and no longer perceive anything that does not directly interact with them. Subjects allowed a Will save initially. (Refrain: daze subjects for 1 round per spell slot level)
- Invigorating Song: Perform, 5 ranks. 50-ft emanation, allies gain gain 1 temporary hit point per round, expiring when the song ends. (Refrain: heal one ally for amount equal to 1d8 per spell slot level plus Cha)
- Inspire Competence: Perform, 6 ranks. 50-ft emanation, allies gain +2 competence bonus to a selected skill. (Refrain: subjects gain bonus of +4 per spell slot level to next skill check within 10 minutes).
- Distracting Song: Perform, 8 ranks. 50-ft emanation, non-allies suffer -2 penalty to saves against enchantments cast by your or your allies. (Refrain: subjects suffer -1 penalty to all saves per spell slot level for 1 round)
- Greater Invigorating Song: Perform, 10 ranks. 50-ft emanation, allies gain 2 temporary hit points per round. (Refrain: heal one ally for 1d8 per spell slot level plus Perform modifier, or all allies for same amount within 10-ft per spell slot level)
- Inspire Greatness: Perform, 12 ranks. 50-ft emanation, allies gain +1 morale bonus to saves, Armor Class, attacks, and weapon damage. (Refrain: +2 bonus, lasts 2 rounds per spell slot level)
- Song of Freedom: Perform, 15 ranks. 50-ft emanation, allies are free of one movement-impairing effect each round. (Refrain: dispels all such effects, and any loss-of-control effect up to the spell slot level expended)
