Background
Background describes a character's experiences, training, and innate talents before they became an adventurer (i.e. before character creation).
All characters have a background.

By Category
Covert Operations
- Infiltrator: You are trained in the arts of infiltration. Gain +2 to Stealth and Security. Gain a Stealth Field Generator.
- Mind-Hardening: You are specially trained to resist the power of The Force on your mind, despite not being Force-Sensitive. Gain +5 to Will Defense against the mental effects of Force Powers. You may use Stealth to hide from Force detection.
- Operative: You are trained to be a covert field operative. Gain +2 to Deception and Persuasion. Gain the Persona talent: you may use Deception to create personas.
Jedi Academy
- Born to the Force: You were born with the gift of Force Sensitivity. Gain the Force Sensitive feat, which allows access to Force Skills and Powers. Gain 3 powers or techniques known.
- Youngling Training: You were trained from youth in the Jedi Academy. Gain +1 to Knowledge (The Force), Concentration, and Willpower; gain the feat Weapon Proficiency (Lightsabers).
- Jedi Knight: You completed padawan training, and are now a Jedi Knight. Gain a Lightsaber, which you created to complete your training. Also, gain 2 Force Points.
Job Training
- Medical Doctor: You completed medical training, and have a medical degree and a license to practice medicine. Gain +3 to Treat Injury; gain a Surgeon's Kit, and the Skill Perseverance feat.
- Certified Mechanic: You are thoroughly trained in the mechanical arts. Gain +3 to Mechanics. Gain a Tool Kit. Gain the feat Skill Perseverance (Mechanics).
Military
- Boot Camp: You received basic training in a professional, modern military force. Gain Weapon Proficiency (Blasters); if you already have it, gain Weapon Specialization (Blasters) instead. Gain the Toughness feat. Gain +1 to Fort Defense. Gain a Blaster of your choice.
Underworld
- Filth-Breather: You grew up in the underworld. You live and breathe it. Gain +3 to Knowledge (Underworld). Start with one illegal weapon or item of your choice (up to 3000 credits), such as a holdout blaster.
- Born Slicer: You've been slicing systems since you rewired your baby monitor to pick up showtunes. Gain +3 to Slicing; all systems start at +1 better attitude (before you start slicing them).
War
- Veteran: You served in a war. Gain the Toughness feat. Gain +3 to Knowledge (Tactics).
