Inside the Mountain

Bael, Cassandra, Szarai, Calliope, and Azalea ventured further into the undercroft beneath Earthfast to find the secret source of the unholy power used by the goblin armies. Find it they did: a fiery realm of legendary magma-monsters, capped off in a Temple of Doom run by insane drow, sacrificing dwarfs to some foul deity. There they confront the supposed ringleader, a drow warlock of such sublime power that he nearly executed them all handily before their escape (and the narrow rescue of a plethora of dwarven prisoners).

As they lie battered and fatigued on the stone floor of Earthfast, a strange woman arrives to explain all they'd seen...
