Dominance
Dominance is an attribute that allows one character to overpower the will of another.
For each point of Dominance an attacker possesses, his targets suffer -1% to Will saves against his attacks.
The default value of your Dominance attribute is level + Cha bonus. If you have any abilities to dominate or create servants, add your proficiency bonus. Other abilities and items may enhance your Dominance attribute.
Additionally, Dominance is used to command the loyalty of minions.
- All minions (whether dominated by temporary spells, forced into permanent service by class abilities, or what-have-you) have a "slot cost" equal to their level (or their level * 3 if elite).
- The total slot cost of all controlled minions cannot exceed your Dominance.
- If you are using magic to control your minions, you may use any Dominance bonus provided by your implement.
- These rules may be ignored when you are commanding a single minion of your level or lower for any reason. If you are commanding more than one, for any reason, these rules apply to all minions commanded.
- These rules do not apply to minions who serve willingly (such as a Ranger's animal companion). They are meant to govern minions served against their will (such as Warlock minions) or those without a will of their own (such as many of a Necromancer's undead).
