Strength requirement is the minimum Strength modifier you must have in order to wear the armor without encumbrance.
- If your Strength is less than the requirement, but within 3 points of the requirement, you are encumbered while wearing it, meaning your speed is reduced by 10.
- If your Strength is 4 points or lower than the requirement, you are heavily encumbered while wearing it, which means your speed drops by 20 feet and you have disadvantage on ability checks, attack rolls, and saving throws that use Strength, Dexterity, or Constitution.
