This class represents "noble dragons", i.e. dragons born into a particularly civilized culture. They are hatched in secret, faraway hatcheries, and from their earliest memories, they take on humanoid form. This is part of a cultural effort to suppress the power and fury of their draconic nature until their minds have expanded sufficiently to contain it. They live fairly normal humanoid childhoods, then sometime in early adulthood, they tend to quest forth, gathering knowledge of the world, and learning more about themselves, in a long journey to discover their true nature, and their place in the cosmos.

Adventuring dragons learn to control their power, keeping the form they've always known, outside of situations of dire provocation. They are more powerful in hybrid form, and most powerful in full draconic form, but they can return to their original humanoid form where it is more socially acceptable. Their draconic might empowers their fighting and magical abilities equally as they fly through life, seeking a deeper understanding of their true nature, and learning to walk the line between humanoid and dragon.

Dragonborn

You may now take Dragon Form at will, for any duration. There is no longer any cooldown after shifting into any form.

In Dragon Form, you may choose to become even larger, gaining the following benefits:

True Flight

You do not need to shapechange to fly; you can simply do so with your dragony power. You gain a fly speed of 100-ft at all times, and an overland flight speed of 500 miles per hour. Once per long rest, you can accelerate up to hypersonic speed, allowing for short suborbital hops spanning thousands of miles. (You can recover sooner than a long rest by eating a meal equivalent to 10 full-grown buffalo)

Always a Dragon

You gain the ability score benefits of your most powerful draconic form even in humanoid form.
