Leonal
The fierce and proud Leonals, second in size and power only to the Tigrans, make natural leaders among their kind. Standing six feet at the shoulder, they are imposing in height as well as build. They have anthropomorphic bodies, and are naturally bipedal, though they can run on all fours under certain circumstances (no shoes, pants, or held objects, for starters).
They worship no god, preferring instead to venerate their ancestors. Theirs is a warrior culture, with the strongest warrior claiming leadership of the pride. Even modern, diplomatic Shah'numan leaders are accomplished warriors, though not necessarily the strongest among their modestly large kingdom.
Their name means "Hunters of the Mountain".
