Origin | ||||
Nyx (Patrick) | ||||
Jade (Cole) |
Female Ahrimid human, age 19 |
Sly, confident, sensual, emotionally guarded, playful. |
Stealth, agility, non-magical illusion, (possibly) engineering. | |
Tristan Galaith du Varlyr (Gino) |
|
Male Brinnish human, age 20 |
Moral, disciplined, righteous, compassionate, showy. |
Swordplay, subtle life magic. |
Exiled Brinnish nobility, raised to retake throne, hopes dashed during Valtan-Ahrimid War, adapted to commoner existence over teenage years, mentored by Ser Lothar Dayne, who brought him into the guild, and recently disappeared. | ||||
Wendell Valentine (NPC) |
Male Ascadian human, age 19 |
Bright, optimistic, thirsty for adventure, hapless, awkward. |
Lesser swordplay, pistols, minor artifice. | |
Wealthy Ascadian father was once a great adventurer; he was destined to bring the family into nobility, but abandoned that duty to seek glory in his own adventures. |
Team Saska
Saska's team has a bit of a reputation for overconfidence; against the wishes of guild leadership, they take on ever-greater challenges to prove themselves worthy, and boast too readily of their own prowess and accomplishments.
Character | Picture | Description | Personality | Powers |
---|---|---|---|---|
Origin | ||||
Saska "Whom Dragons Fear" |
Female dark elf, age 23 |
Direct, blunt, passionate, simple, physical. |
Marksmanship, survival, horsemanship, melee combat. | |
Dark elf captured in youth by Kurnish raiders, raised amongst Clan Dejik, who was exiled to River Rock after a failed assault on Obrith. Became a bounty hunter, soon enlisted in guild to avoid pressure against independent bounty hunters. | ||||
Veredren Ryl'dur |
|
Male dark elf, age 25 |
Pompous, stylish, vain, clever, eager. |
Stealth, agility, daggers, invocation. |
Enigmatic; he has not shared his complete background, but it is known that he was born on the Ebon Isle and spent time as an adventurer in the lands of the Mageholds. | ||||
MUNIRA doVJARA |
|
Female storm dwarf, age 26 |
Proud, stubborn, overconfident in her strength |
Strength, melee combat, earth magic. |
Born in River Rock, her village was raided by Clan Dejik. She took many lives in the village's defense, and was ultimately enslaved. Later, Saska freed her, having built a friendship, when the clan disintegrated, and they have traveled together ever since. |
Independent Adventurers
Not all of the guild's adventurers are in groups.
Character | Picture | Description | Personality | Powers |
---|---|---|---|---|
Origin | ||||
Leda Stormblood |
Female human, age 20 |
Introverted, sardonic, fatalistic, witty. |
Thaumaturgy, alchemy, divination, illusion, witchcraft. | |
In self-imposed exile from her home in the Mageholds, Leda studied with the Order of the Ring for a time, before quitting their ranks due to differences of opinion. She prefers to study magic peacefully, but the guild master urges her to take on adventures in order to truly master her art. | ||||
Grahand Devilseye |
Male human, age 52 |
Surly, menacing, competent, hard. |
Swordsmanship, magic negation | |
He has not shared his history with his guildmates, but rumor has it he was once of very different temperament, trafficking with dark powers and lording over others without mercy or remorse. It is easily believable given his temperament, but he is nonetheless a fierce defender of the guild and its principles. | ||||
Nerida of the Blue Water |
Female undine, age 16 |
Sweet, curious, eager, scatter-brained. |
Affinity for aquatic plants and animals, minor water magic | |
"Nerrie", once of the Deepwater Undine, Nerida's curiousity about the surface world drew her to Saillonne, where her innocent nature soon got her in trouble. Nyx, then perhaps 10 years old, chanced upon her and saved her from those who would take advantage; since then, she has found a home in the guild. She remains relentlessly curious, but has difficulty being out of water for long, and has little proclivity for combat magic; she thus does not often have opportunities to adventure in the surface world, but she gets into plenty of trouble in the city's vast underwater environs. | ||||
Caprice Toma |
Female shah'mira, age 17 |
Nosy, impulsive, affectionate, fanciful |
Shapeshifting, stealth, trickery | |
Caprice, aptly named by the Master, was rescued as a wayward kit by the guild. Her littermates were being sold into slavery after a raid on her home village--a sadly common plight of her people. The guild is all she's ever known, but her fondness for them wars with her fickle nature--she is practically addicted to getting in trouble, and can never stay focused long enough to stick with a given group or quest for long. | ||||
Erika Dawne |
Female tiefling, age 28 |
Direct, showy, obstreperous, cocksure |
Telekinesis, regeneration, hellfire, force manipulation, summoning | |
A powerful invoker, Erika was named Warlock by the White Tower and fled the north to seek more tolerant climes. Nigh impossible to contain or direct, she nonetheless accomplishes great things for the guild while toeing the line--more or less--around the Master's moral preferences. Grahand is constantly berating her for her excesses and boisterous nature, and she returns in kind, daring him to force her to reveal the terrible secrets of his hypocrisy. The younger members of the guild tend to look upon her in awe, and seek to emulate her despite (or perhaps because of) her many disagreements with authority. |
Non-Combatants
Many among the guild prefer not to adventure, or, for whatever reason, are unable to. They still serve important roles, and many have much to teach those who quest.

Marta Miros |
Female human, age 49 |
Matronly, wise, good listener, meddlesome |
Supernatural cooking skills, healing | |
The unofficial mistress of the house, Marta makes sure the guild is well fed and taken care of. Her incredible meals and warm environs come at the mere cost of the occasional household chore, shopping trip, or perhaps the need to endure a long lecture about one's wayward ways. Few can complain too much, as she never makes anyone feel too uncomfortable or judged, and is always there when anyone is truly hurting. Some say she has a great deal of power kept hidden away, but she vigorously deflects such talk--she is just a simple cook and housekeeper hired by the Master. |
