Attributes
Every character has a series of attributes, described below.
- Hit Points: the amount of lethal damage you can suffer before dying.
- Resilience: a multiplier that figures into your Hit Points.
- Attack Power: determines base damage with weapon attacks.
- Spell Power: determines base damage with spell attacks.
- Hit Chance: your chance to hit with an attack.
- Hit Power: the percentage of your Attack Power applied to weapon damage.
- Critical Chance: your chance to critically hit with an attack.
- Critical Power: the percentage of your Attack Power applied to damage.
- Expertise: your chance to ignore an enemy's Dodge or Parry.
- Armor Penetration: your chance to ignore an enemy's Fortification.
- Dodge: your chance to completely dodge the attacks of an enemy of whom you are aware.
- Parry: your chance to deflect the melee attacks of an enemy of whom you are aware.
- Block: your chance to mitigate the attacks of an enemy of whom you are aware with a shield.
- Fortitude: your chance to negate or end a malady of the flesh.
- Will: your chance to negate or end a malady of the mind.
- Saves: opportunities to escape any malady.
- Recharge Rating: added to your chance to recharge a given ability.
- Haste: your chance to gain an extra action each round (standard or swift).
