Counterspelling
By readying an action, you may negate an opponent's spells with your own.
Dispelling

Certain spells allow you to remove magical effects from creatures or from the environment.
Cooldown

Spells which are not at-will have a "cooldown". Once cast, they are "on cooldown", and cannot be cast again until the cooldown is finished. The types of cooldown are:
- Recharge: always followed by a percent chance each round that the spell will become available immediately.
- Encounter: the spell is unavailable for the rest of the encounter.
- Daily: the spell in unavailable for the rest of the day.
One-Round Cooldown

All spells have a special cooldown, separate and distinct from their normal cooldown. Effectively, no spell may be cast twice in the same round.
Reserve

All creatures have a Reserve attribute, equal to 1 + 1/rank + Wis. This determines how many spells of "Reserve" duration they may have active upon themselves.
