Infighting
Infighting is a set of combat conditions wherein you and your opponent are very close, i.e. within grappling distance.
Infighting Attack
Whenever anyone makes an Infighting Attack, the following rules apply:
- The target must be within the attacker's melee reach.
- The attack itself is subject to normal hit/miss chance.
- The attack provokes an attack of opportunity.
- Assuming the attempt hits, the attacker must win an Infighting Check to succeed.
Infighting Check
An Infighting Check is always made opposed--that is, the defender sets the DC for the attacker's roll.
The attacker's roll is as follows:
- 1d20 + Str bonus + Size Modifier
The defender may choose between the following rolls:
- 1d20 + Str bonus + Size Modifier
- 1d20 + Dex bonus + Size Modifier
If the attacker's roll is greater than the defender's, the attacker wins.
If the attacker's roll is equal to or lower than the defender's, the attacker loses.
