Robot
A robot is a Ranger companion. Standard-issue police bots are spherical, about the size of a basketball, brimming with antennae and various useful tools. They hover about, thanks to an inner gyroscope and a torqueless air accelerator in their core. Their front face contains a large, round, black "eye" containing several recording devices, though it can record omni-directional video.
- Basic Statistics
- Size: Small
- Movement: Flight (good) at 150% of your base movement speed
- Hit Points: 75% of yours
- Hit Chance: 105%
- Critical Chance: 25% + 2% per ranger level
- Dodge: 25% + 1% per ranger level
- Will: 10% + 1% per 2 ranger levels
- Fort: 10% + 1% per 2 ranger levels
- Carrying Capacity: 25 lbs, 1.5 cubic feet; +10% per rank of Engineering
- Attacks
- Zap: at-will, std, melee touch attack; light electrical damage (Dex-based) plus stun (Fort ends). Stun can be soaked, reducing its effectiveness by 100%.
- Grapple: at-will, swift, melee touch attack; grappling claw fastens to subject. Normal grappling rules apply. (Small, weak, flying creatures generally make poor grapplers).
- Other Abilities
- Analysis: at-will, free (once/rd), long range; robot analyzes target and gives you data to aid in your attacks when using weapons linked to the robot. Choose from one of the below each round:
- Armor Analysis: robot analyzes target's armor and feeds back data to you. You gain +20% to Armor Penetration and +10% overall damage vs that target for 3 rounds (stacks and refreshes).
- Indirect Fire: You gain +10% to Hit Chance and Critical Chance vs target for 3 rounds (stacks and refreshes). Allows you to fire indirectly; i.e., you may attack a foe if you lack line of sight but still possess line of effect, using the robot's line of sight (and distance to target) instead of your own.
- Kickback Compensation: robot uses gyroscopic data and its own visual acuity to predict and compensate for firearm kickback, then uploads that data to the linked weapon. This allows you to maintain a faster firing rate without compounding inaccuracy. Grants +10% Missile Haste for 3 rounds (stacks and refreshes).
