Dwarf
Dwarf is a Race.
Base Abilities
- Race Points: 2
- +2 Str, +2 Con, -2 Movement
- Slow and Steady: A dwarf's speed is not reduced by encumbrance (unless exceeding heavy load). A dwarf suffers half effect from movement reduction.
- Stability: Gain +4 to any check to resist bull rush or trip attempts. Gain Resist 50% (push, pull, slide).
- Strong Shoulders: A dwarf can carry 50% more than is otherwise allowed for their Strength, and treats their Strength as 5 points higher for the purposes of Heft.
- Stonecunning: Dwarves gain a +5 bonus on Perception checks to notice unusual stonework, such as traps and hidden doors located in stone walls or floors. They receive a check to notice such features whenever they pass within 10 feet of them, whether or not they are actively looking.
- Darkvision 60 ft
- Racial Enmity: Gain +4 to all attack and defense rolls against giants.
Feats
- Natural Sprinter: Your movement speed in combat increases by +2; this does not affect your overland speed.
- Dwarves are very dangerous over short distances.
Powers
- Detect Treasure: You detect the presence of treasure (gold, gems, other valuables) within long range, regardless of concealment or cover. By concentrating for 1 round, you can zero on on the approximate location (in squares) of said treasure. You gain +5 to skill checks to notice secret doors, chests, or other concealed methods of reaching said treasures (but not to traps).
